My software doesn't even detect my phone. I read that it may be because I have nothing but USB 3 ports. When I install the LG Bridge software, it updates the system drivers for both my phone and the software. It didn't detect my phone so I downloaded the latest driver update and ran it manually. Windows can see the phone but LG Bridge can't. I'm just trying to check for a software update because my LS991 still hasn't received MM OTA.

I can't get my G4 to connect to LG Bridge no matter what I do. Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
I think they got the software from the same place they got those early motherboards.
Have you had problems connecting to Bridge before the replacement? Bridge 'works' for me, at least in the sense that it recognizes the phone when it's connected. Are using the USB cable that came with the phone? If not, try that. Also make sure that you have the latest version of the USB driver - Bridge asked me to update it about 10 days ago, it now says 'LG Mobile Driver v 4.0.4'. Also Bridge self-updated today to version 1.1.22.
(my H815 with s/n 505 says hi.. for now :-!)
I am on Verizon, and I may be forgetting that this is another thing it disabled? There is the Verizon update software/repair that they may be forcing users in to using instead, although that doesn't leave any of the other functionality of Bridge. At least I'm able to backup via LG Backup on the phone itself.
I don't think Bridge supports LG-G4 or the 5 and V10
I wouldn't update your phone through bridge though...Heard there's alot more problems doing it that way
It supports my (unlocked) G4 just fine.
Not had any problems updating via the Bridge either. MM works super-smooth for me & my battery life is superb. You might want to check your sources
If I could make one little plea it would be for everyone to state whether their phone is locked to a particular carrier when reporting issues with the OS, ability to use Bridge, etc. As I (think I) understand it, LG Bridge provides the LG-fied version of the OS only; if your phone demands a carrier-fied version, it will probably refuse to connect??
