LG G Flex: Google calendar problems

Hi. I can't get Google calendar to work on my g flex. When I open it it always says sorry Google calendar has stopped or something like that. It downloads fine but I can't get it to work. Anyone else notice this?
Anything I can do to use it? It works fine on my lg g pad which is weird.
I don't like the stock Calendar.

Same problem here, LG says I should send phone back UGH, I downloaded another app that works similar

Ah well at least it works on my g pad I guess that's fine.

had the same problem, I changed the screen theme to the one with the "stars background" and now it works!!!

I only have two themes to pick from no stars background.
