LG G Pro 2 On the way, will this be the end for our OGP's?

With the announcement of the LG G Pro 2 I fear that this will be the end of support for the LG Optimus Pro. I saw in today's headlines on AC's home page that even the HTC one X is getting updated to 4.2.2.
I will stay hopeful that LG doesn't abandon this phone.

I'd be extremely disappointed if they end support. I'm likely to look at buying the new version as and when its released but will certainly have second thoughts if by that time there have been no updates for the original. I'm expecting the g pro, g2 and g pad to be all updated to the same level before thus release

Yes I would be highly disappointed also if they just leave this phone on 4.1.

I think I'm going to end up rooting the LG optimus g pro and installing android 4.3 because this is getting ridiculous.

I agree but I'll give AT&T and LG till like May or June to come through with an official update, that seems long enough.

I love this phone as it is but would like to see a 4.4 update and if it is not forthcoming this year I doubt that I would upgrade to another LG phone simply on principle. If LG cares so little to keep their current customers up to date with current software I don't care to further boost their profits. I would consider buying a used LG Pro 2 (as they look very nice!) in the future but wouldn't buy a new one.

It's supposed to get the KitKat update by end of Q2 (late June).

Is the Optimus Pro still worth buying? AT&T Has a good sale going on. Any feed back on call quality and reception would be plus.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think we'll ever see an update for this phone. It was forgotten about the instant it was released pretty much!

Guess it's time to root!

It's a good phone I've had no problems with mine, call quality it's good, reception is good, just don't expect any updates to soon from AT&T or LG. I had a Galaxy Note 2 that I dropped and broke before the LG Pro the LG is just as good as the Note 2 was, I know it doesn't have a stylus but I never really used it anyway.
