LG G Watch Disconnected...

It's hard to sit here and be excited about receiving mine tomorrow knowing this stuff is going on. Especially since most complaints are coming from M8 owners! Might be time to go back to a Nexus 5 :P

#EarlyAdopterProblems

I'm sure these problems will be addressed soon. I did have the disconnected issue a fair amount today and notifications just altogether stopped getting pushed to the watch. After disabling/enabling bluetooth on the phone everything started working again.

Mine worked fine out the box turned it on then let it update will use it all day today see how it goes.

I had this same problem with a Sony Xperia Z1 compact. Someone suggested it might be the stamina mode in the phone that was disconnecting BT. I turned stamina mode off and the problem has gone away.

I know this might not help much, but my G Watch has been running great since I got it. Watch is on KMV78V, phone is a stock Nexus 5 running stock 4.4.4. Voice dictation works quite well about 95% of time, regardless of WiFi or 4G.

For what it's worth....

Well I have tried a number of different things to get this worked out and for the moment, at least, it appears to be working more consistently.

Two major things I changed which might have fixed it:
  • Changed the Runtime from Dalvik to ART
  • Turned off Battery Saver mode

Like I said these may have fixed it or might not have but I have been able to perform voice searches over the last 24 hours without problem on my Moto X

Thanks mosi76 - I tried this and it has worked for the moment, no disconnected message on voice search for the past 6 hours or so. Have you had any disconnects since doing this?

Cheers

For the HTC M8 Users - for anyone still having trouble, I think I have found the cause, go into your power settings and turn off 'Sleep Mode'.

I have the same issue with Nexus 5 and LG G Watch, it seems that Bluetooth disconnects after some time and toggling the phone's bluetooth solves the problem, but it's kind of infuriating :( It seems that these problems escalate - if you get few disconnects in a row, it gets worse and worse, not syncing normal google now cards at some point after few tries :(

I am getting the disconnected warning, but thus far just when my phone is connected to the Bluetooth in my car. Google voice searches from the watch gives the "disconnected" warning, although other notifications (email and such) are still coming through. As soon as I stepped put of the car and the phone (Nexus 5) was no longer connected to the car's BT, Google voice searches through the watch began to work again.

Strange. BT still has so many quirks. Even when I was using a Pebble and an iPhone I'd still have odd issue like that.

Just to update my situation - moving to Android L I didn't see any of the problems, but when that broke last week I decided to go back to CM11 and be good and patient. Then I realised my watch link would start messing about again. And it did. As someone suggested above, moving to ART seemed to make it happen less often, but still happened. So instead, I now have a Tasker task to run every hour turning the Bluetooth off, waiting 10 seconds then turning it back on. No failed searches or connections so far...

Hi Guys!

I have the same problem with my ZenWatch updated to 5.0. I am using a Huawei ascend p6 updated to 4.4.2.

I will do something and then I'll update my post.

That did it for me! Spent hours trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. Soon as I turned off wifi watch connected and I was able to transfer music to my LG Watch R.
