LG G Watch R or Moto 360

To me the wireless charging of the 360 is a big draw, especially if the charger is included, works as advertised and the watch really sells for 250.

For me it's gonna come down to feel, I think.

That said, I'm going to have to wait for more than a rough teaser render. But I still think round is the way to go.

Phil if you're going to Berlin, please try to take both watches outside for an outdoor visibility check! ☺

There are pics of the back that indicate it is plastic to facilitate wireless charging, there is no USB plug or any other charging connectors on the watch, and there were pics posted of the wireless charger. Google it to see the pic.

Yea... It's Qi... A FCC test report outed the moto 360's wireless charger and protocol standard a while back.

Well, I'm currently using the Sony Smartwatch 2, and for me it's a big feature that the screen can stay on all the time... i don't mind charging it everyday just as long as i dont have to press a power button to activate the screen... Could anyone tell me how the Moto 360 deals with it's screen and how it's activated?

We don't know yet. But yes I have a Sony and love the transflective display as well. I especially like teasing the wear devices in the sun!

Edit: forgot what thread I was in

I would like an always on screen as well. But if they pull some of the moto x tricks on it, I would probably be okay. A flick of the wrist or just raising it to look at it turns the screen on. I honestly think I would be disappointed if it didn't have something like this.

And of course a screen you can see outside would be a big plus

As the Moto 360 (and LG R for that matter) are both android wear watches, the always on setting should be controlled by the android wear app. Screenshot below... If it's ticked on, the screen "should" stay on.

I believe always on is a feature of the g watch. Anyone with a Gear live able to confirm if they have the same setting?

Gear Live is the same. Always on is a feature of Android Wear, that's why the setting is in the Wear app.
