LG G2: Help. Quiet Time is broken after 4.4.2

If QUIET TIME is not working for you, there is a free alternative called Light Flow that allows you to set quiet time for both notifications and the notification light. The only thing different with light flows "sleep time" is that it does not allow you to pick preferred contacts that are allowed to ring through like you can with LG's Quiet Time.

Quiet time has been hit and miss for me since the update, in fact, I did a FDR to see if it solved the problem as well as a few others I've had, but it did not.

For me, quiet time activates on schedule but I still get random notifications that come through. Some ring or beep through, others do not. so, IMHO, there IS a problem with Quiet time.

You can't help. Nobody can except LG.

This thread isn't for you. Its for LG customer service.

Then don't post it in a public discussion forum! This is not an LG support forum, it's a peer support forum. And you're being rather obnoxious to your peers.

Okay, so I know this discussion is very old, but I just thought I'd mention that after downloading the VZW 25B update last week (to 4.4.2), I've noticed that Quiet Time is finally working again as it is supposed to. I'm not sure if anyone else found a solution in the intervening months (a search did not produce any relevant results), but I had continued to have the problem of it not turning on or off as scheduled ever since this conversation was begun last spring. But, now it's working just like it used to, beginning as scheduled and deactivating as scheduled. I know that's a VZW specific fix, but thought it was worth posting on the original thread, rather than starting a new one. Hope that means others have gotten a solutinon, as well. Best of luck everyone.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand ..., now it's broken again. :(

Warning, the latest Verizon firmware update, 26A, seems to have broken Quiet Time on my phone once again.

I am FURIOUS!!! I noticed this morning that, after a week of operating perfectly (on firmware version 25B), once again Quiet Time is not working properly on my phone. It started on time last night, but did not turn off at the scheduled time this morning. I purposely had not installed the 26A update because I didn't want to take a chance of this exact thing happening. But, when I checked this morning, what do you think I discovered? It had apparently automatically been installed over night (I checked last evening and it was still on 25B). ARGH!!! I don't understand why it permitted me to manually install 25B but it automatically installed 26A without my permission.

Just venting my frustration, but also want to warn anyone else - if you have the option of NOT installing the VZW 26A firmware update, I recommend avoiding it if Quiet Time is a concern for you.

And yes, I am fully aware that I could be jumping to conclusions but, given the facts laid out above, it seems a pretty strong circumstantial case (yes, I'm a lawyer.)

Best of luck.

Re: LGElectronics - Help. Quiet Time is broken after 4.4.2

Everyone I know has an issue with quiet mode on their LG G2 and it is frustrating that LG pretends there is no problem. On my phone the scheduled quiet mode has never worked consistently. It can not be counted on and it is frustrating to be woken up at 2:30 am because you think it should be working and you receive a spam email or something equally as goofy. By the way, I am refraining from giving you the response you deserve.

G2's suck for this issue. I wish LG would just admit it so that there isn't thousands of people looking for non-existent answers. My scheduled quiet mode is a dismal failure and it is that way on every G2 that I know of.

It is a problem that is in every G2 that I know of and it can't be fixed, as far as I know. I gave up looking for answers, as did my wife. I wish LG would just admit it so that people know not to look for non-existent answers.

I just downloaded Silent Time and hope it works well. LG should buy ou the app and give it away free in an update to rid the world of this issue once and for all.

Another problem with quiet time on a LG G2 (a relative's) (O2 in the UK).

Don't ask me what they did to start the problems - but a few days ago quiet time turned itself on and it was *impossible* to turn it off (I spent hours reading threads and messing with settings).

This rendered the phone useless as, you know, an actual phone...

Here is what I had to do to fix it:-
Downloaded the LG mobile support tool from the LG website (for Windows 7).
Connected phone.
Phone then told me to install LG suite software (well over a few hundred MB of a download).
The suite software refused to connect to the phone.
Uninstall drivers.
Reinstall drivers (twice).
Started Mobile support tool again.
Waited 10 minutes until the util decided it would connect to the phone (had to chose the 'connect to lg software' option on the phone in contradiction to the instructions on the Mobile support tool).
Util told me the the drivers it was trying to install were older than the current drivers.
Removed current drivers.
Tried again.
Looked like it was working.
Got to about 20%.
Then it said 'not enough charge in battery' and had to abort the whole process.
Charged phone for an hour.
Repeated process.
Downloaded 1.6GB! Yes - approx 1,600 MB.
Approx 3 hours later, the quiet mode problem was solved!

LG, do you reckon the average LG G2 owner will be happy enough doing this????
