My home screen defaults to the middle (#3 of 5) of 5 screens. Unfortunately I put the shortcuts I want for default home on screen 1. Is there any way to select which page of screens is the default home screen?

Long press on an open area one of your home screens - this will allow you to place apps/widgets on your screen - then press on the screen again and you'll see all of your home screens - you can manipulate the order of the screens via drag and drop, and you can denote which is the "home" by pressing the house icon for that screen.
