LG G2 not registered?

So I called at&t as they said my number wasn't fully registered. So I followed what they had said to do, then re-registered it. It didn't work, and did a master reset, which didn't work either. After all that, now the phone isn't the same, which I will post in a different thread as it does not pertain to this one. I did not get the update. They explained to me that the update is rolling out in different areas through time, which makes sense. I just wished they had told me that before we spent all this time getting me nowhere.

Raskal1130 are you still getting the phone is not registered message when you check? If the update is not available in your area it should say.no updates available. Go to an ATT store and ask for a new sim card.

I was given a warranty exchange and apparently it's coming via snail mail. If the problem persists i'll have to head to a ATT store and get a new sim. Either way Im thinking this new device will be better considering my battery has been absolutely horrible the last 2 months.

Thanks for the info ScottJacobs1, I will go to an at&t store when I get the chance. Chrgnthru, Same here. It started out great at first, and I don't have many apps on this thing. I also have a lot of features turned off (Bluetooth, NFC, etc...). I am hoping I can get this update so that it can possibly make the battery life better. It is weird because when I realized the battery drain being worse, I had the same amount of software as I did before on the device. Nothing was added.

I am having same problem that my phone is not registered yet. Plz guide me how to fix this problem. I want to update my lg g2 to Kitkat.

Thank you Scott Jacobs1. Everyone having this issue, I did what he had said. I have spoken to at&t multiple times. First they had me factory reset my phone, and the backup they told me to do did not work, btw, but luckily, I did not have many things on the phone as of yet. Please make sure your things are backed up. Anyway, that did not work, they tried re-registering the phone to the network, that didn't work either. After talking to many reps, they did not know how to fix the issue.

I ended up going to an at&t store, like Scott Jacobs1 suggested. Even after they gave me a new sim card and registering it to at&t, the phone was saying the same thing. I had noticed that under the status, it was not showing my phone number, as it was saying "unknown number". They again were suggesting I do a factory reset. For fear of losing everything again, I did not do that. Instead, I did something else. All it needed was a reset. I turned off the phone, waited 30 seconds to a minute, and turned it back on. It did acknowledge my phone number after that.

I then waited until the next day, as I had to wait 24 hours until I can check for an update. I was able to get an update, which wasn't Kit Kat. I tried again the next day, and I got it. Now when I check for one, it says there are no updates available. I don't get the not yet registered message anymore.

So go out there and ask at&t for a new SIM card. Tell them you spoke to customer service and you need a new SIM card for your phone. Make sure it is registered in their systems, wait a bit and restart your phone until it recognizes your phone number and try the update when it lets you. That is how I was able to get mine to work. I hope this helps everyone with this issue.

I'm glad it worked. My wife's phone also had the same issue and it fixed hers to. I am told that it doesn't fix all of them but it's worth a try.

I have a AT&T LG g2 on Straight Talk service but it runs on AT&T towers and get updates the same as AT&T customers I have tried to update and keep getting your device is not yet registered also sometimes I keep getting that I need to sign in to the AT&T network. I cked and my software says 4.4.2 is that the new it says last update was in February

I'm glad it helped. FYI all you have to do to bypass the 24 hour waiting period is go in to your date and time and uncheck the network time and date box. This will allow you to change your date and trick the phone into allowing you to check for the update again.

I tried that got the same message this device is not registered and after the update I can't send or receive mms

Have the same issue... i talked to at&t and lg, but they dont have any idea... my phone has the 4.4.2 D80020k firmware, the new one is D80020y firmware...

So i've yet to receive the update that was released last week I believe so I decided to manually check. I keep getting a "Device Not Registered". How do I go about registering it? I bought this straight from AT&T brand new.
