Any thoughts?

All signs seem to point to a Sprint version of the Nexus 5. Not sure about release date, but appears that it wouldn't necessarily be that much more of a wait.

So, who's jumping to the G2 ASAP, and who's waiting to see what the Nexus 5 acutally looks like before deciding?

My upgrade is December 1st so I've got plenty of time to decide. Right now it's definitely down to these two for me.

Go Hokies!

I want the G2.
I will be using the new "One Up" program to grab one as soon as it is released, which will be before the end of the month.
A guy on another forum works in the biz and his workplace (Best Buy, I think) has received the Sprint G2 but has not been able to check it out yet.
I am counting the days.

Mav.

G2 has better camera and if you want stock experience you can always flash cm but if you want LG experience on N5 then you're SOL

G2 All the way. I think G2 will end up with a fully functional AOSP ROM sooner or later. The Nexus turned me off with its much smaller battery. Also ... will the Nexus 5 be triband? If not.. that's another huge reason not to get it.

Let's say the Nexus 5 is exactly the same phone just with a few compromises & bonuses.

Nexus 5 vs Sprint LG G2
5" IPS 1080P < 5.2" IPS 1080P
SD 800 = SD 800
Krait 330 = Krait 330
2GB RAM = 2GB RAM
16GB or 32GB ROM ≤ 32GB ROM
8MP OIS Camera < 13.1 OIS Camera
1.3MP FF Camera < 2.1 FF Camera
2300mAh (3000mAh 32GB?) ≤ 3000 mAh
Matte Finish > Gloss Finish
Qi Charging > USB Only
Android 4.4 > Android 4.2.2 (CustomRoms can help here)
No Contract (an assumption) ≥ Contract
Not Yet Announced < Nov 8 Release Date
$299/$399(32GB) < $199 w/ Quick Window OR $99 & a $50 bonus gift card from BestBuy

There are some advantages to the N5 but battery life is paramount for me and a minimum $200 savings for more device seems like a good value.

Also the Sprint demo unit at my local BestBuy was way snappier (on wifi) than the VZ or ATT units.

I was really strongly considering the Nexus 5 and being free of a Sprint contract... That being said for the money SPRINT ROCKS! had a lot of trouble when LTE upgrades first reached my area but now just a few months later things are great. Also with Nextel & Clearwires spectrum and added Softbank funding Sprints on its way to being a real contender again.
