I'm currently on a legacy unlimited data plan (throttled at 3gigs), anyone know if there will be any issues retaining if I pre-order the device online? Never had an issue when extending in-store w/ new 2 year contracts but want to get my hands on this one asap.

They discount your bill by the subsidy amount that would normally be there when your on the next plan. Or in our example. 3 lines on the next plan is $145 (thats with subsidy removed). 3 lines on normal two year contract would be like $205 (figure like $20 subsidy per line). Not exact figures but you get the idea.

IMO getting away from phone subsidies in favor of lower monthly rates is a great move for many. Having both options is a win for all. My bill went down significantly when AT&T switched to the new plans in February.

BTW looking forward to getting a hold of a new G3 and at the special a G watch too.

Incorrect. If you buy the phones outright, you get the $145 a month price.

Fair point. Sadly $1000 + for three phones is a bit unrealistic.

I just saw this link that shows the folio case and wireless charging is PMA not qi. The guys at Xda stated qi, but now I'm definitely not sure now.

AT&T throttles at 3 GB for 3g / 5 GB for LTE on the grandfathered unlimited plan.

I'm not going to order it until I know if it has qi or not. I'm set up in my house car and work for qi, so I'm sure not getting it if it's PMA. If it is PMA, I'll be getting an international model if possible.
