AC Question

Hey all.

I've been flicking through a load of posts but can't seem to find an answer.

All of a sudden my D855 LG G3 got a blue screen during normal use. It is the complete stock version of Android and now when I turn on, it goes to the LG welcome screen but then the blue screen comes on, then after a few seconds goes dead - I have to remove the battery.

I can for some reason access Download and Recovery mode.

Now my question is, is there a way for me to access the internal data so I can transfer it off?

I have tried the LG PC Suite but to no avail, the computer nor the program does not recognise the phone.

I'm considering the blowdryer / oven trick but surely there is a way with access to recovery / download mode?

I'm not a huge fan of the "hey, I put my motherboard in the oven and it works now". There are a bunch of tiny capacitors, relays, diodes and whatnot that are susceptible to damage that way. Just my 2 cents. If you had/or knew someone that could reflow then that would be the way to go.

That said, I got my hands on a g3 doing the same thing. It boots fine into safe mode from the recovery screen. So I'd chalk it up to a possible software update issue, I'm not positive though.

Hey this sounds crazy but it really works. Baked motherboard at 250 degrees for 10 minutes and my lg g3 is working perfectly after being a blue screen brick.

My LG G3 had the blue screen of death...but I fixed it. I opened up my phone (unscrewed it open), took out the motherboard. Preheated my oven to 350° fahrenheit and stuck it on a cookie sheet (on foil) for 9-10 minutes. Put it back together and now my phone works even better than before...it's a lot faster. I found this trick on YouTube. Look it up...it works. I'm super happy that I didn't lose any of my internal photos.

I just took my wifes phone out of oven after 7or 8 minutes and is now working again. thank you for suggestion. her phone would not start up I tried holding start button and volume button and would get a screen with 6 or 7 selections tried them all and kept getting blue screen. I really did not have high hopes but wanted the pics and contacts and thought if it did not work would buy new phone
