Do you think the rear button placement will make it to the next iteration of the LG?

Re: Button placement...

I don't know but I would think so, it is one of the ways they are differentiating themselves from the competition. I've gotten used to it and now find I prefer the rear placement. They could re-position the camera and buttons apart a bit but otherwise I think people like it once they get use to it.

+1 to this. I like the rear button placement and I'm hoping LG persists with it. But there needs to be separation between the Volume Up button and camera lens to stop the lens getting fingerprints.

Another vote for what tourneau said. I haven't used the phone other than as displays at carrier stores so I don't know how well the buttons work, but I've heard a lot of complaints because they are hard to differentiate.
Personally, I prefer traditional buttons but if it makes the phone easier to use, then it'll probably make it to the next phone

I think it will, and it might even become an LG thing. Even more now that the G Pro 2 looks like it'll have rear buttons. I have become accustomed to the back buttons, and prefer them now. Only wish it was easier to tell the buttons apart. I have the Verizon model, so it's worse than the others.

Re: Button placement...

I really like the thought of having bare sides on the phone. Excited to try it out

Re: Button placement...

I have the G2 and don't like the button placement but I am getting used to it.
I hardly use the button because I am using the knock to turn the phone on.

Re: Button placement...

I like the button placement. Mainly because I have a 2 year old son who likes to play with my phone. I can download his "play phone" app, hide the Nav keys, then he can play all day without getting into other apps.

Anyone see the pic this weekend with the buttons on back looking like they are turned 90 degrees?

I'd be very surprised if the G3 didn't have back buttons. And only the Verizon G2 back buttons are poorly designed.

Considering they have added knock knock to other devices, and the fact that the buttons are on the back of the G Pro 2, I would venture to guess that it will be a part of most LG phones for a while.
