LG G3 Cases

Re: LG G3 Wireless charging WITHOUT awkward circle case

I have this case. It is nice case to have but I find it annoying. I hardly used the quick circle features because they really are not that useful. The answering of phone calls I did like, it was easy to use. I didn't care for the messaging because of the way the message showed up and I always ended up opening the case to reply anyways. The music play was useless because you had to switch to,it each time rather than the music just showing up on the lock screen (while playing) when you double tap. I like to use different settings in the camera so the case had to be open.
It didn't help with battery life.

There's an app in the play store called quick circle apps, which gives the quick circle window more functionality.

I've noticed no negative effect on battery life in the month I've been using it. If anything my battery life has improved.

I started off with a basic tpu case but right now I am going naked. I figure if the back of the phone gets a scratch or ding I can buy a new back door cover for pretty cheap. I ordered a tempered glass screen protector. Can't wait for it to get here and try it out. They are supposed to be a lot better than the traditional screen protectors..

Let us know if you have any touch screen sensitivity issues with the glass screen protector.

I AM IN LOVE WITH MY NEW G3 CASE! I've always loved Otterbox, but I bought a defender case for a Nokia 1020 I had purcahsed, and it was a piece of cheap crap. Not the quality product I'm used to seeing. The only color they have for the G3 is black, and I'm not overpaying for shoddy quality AND **** ugly. I bought a Quick Circle case to begin with, but after a couple of drops enough plastic had fallen away from it that my phone barely even stayed in it. I shouldn't have even tried. I am a bull in a China shop.
I hopped on Amazon and started searching. There isn't a whole lot out there for our beloved G3 in terms of safety. I bought a Supcase Unicorn Beetle Hybrid. It comes in tons of colors, has a built in screen protector, and has port covers. It was $20! I paid double that for my crappy Otterbox! When I got it in the mail, I took it out and was really impressed. It comes with a link to a video to show you how to put it on. It took me a couple of tries, because its a tight fit, but it's a good tight fit. It also doesnt make the phone feel too big or bulky. The back has a hard plastic plate built into the softer plastic for extra durability. The outer edges are a matte finish with little diagonal lines for great grip traction. Good for butter fingers like mine.
There's hard plastic in the front that frames the screen protector. You snap that onto the front of the phone and it curves around the back edges. Then there's a softer plastic that goes around the back of the phone, like the outer layer of the Otterbox defender. I can tell by the feel of it that it's not going to wear out and fall apart. It's very thick and solid. The port covers are are great too. It's like a pressure seal between the hard plastic and soft plastic. Overall, this is the best built phone case I've ever seen. I know there aren't a lot of good cases for this phone compared to what they offer for other phones, so I thought I would share. It was a great find for me.

Just put my Supcase back on. I like a little bulk sometimes.
I did remove the plastic screen cover though. Personal preference.
Now I wish someone would make a launcher or theme to match the set-up like S.H.I.E.L.D. has on Capt America and other Marvel shows and movies. :)

Mav.

Just received my Spigen Slim Armour gun metal gray case. What a slick looking piece of kit! Really compliments the Fosmon hd glass screen protector. It doesn't add much bulk at all and looks fantastic!

Hey everyone. I'm planning on getting my g3 this weekend. I think the phone looks great without a case but I know with my history of dropping things, using it naked is not an option. I have small hands/butter fingers and want to protect it as much as possible. I've read good things on this forum about Zagg tempered glass. Can I use this with any case?

Also, can anyone recommend a case that is grippy? My fiance has an Otterbox and while I've read that they're great cases, the backside just feels slippery to me. My last phone had a Seidio active case and the plastic "feet" that latched onto the phone seemed weak, almost as if they would break when I was putting the case on the phone for the first time.

Obviously with the g3 being a larger phone I'm trying to minimize bulk, but I'd rather have a bulky case with a protected phone rather than paying 100 bucks for a Sprint refurb because my new phone wasn't protected.

Any advice is appreciated!

I got my Supcase premium hybrid yesterday from Amazon. It looks great on the phone. I got the all clear one. At first glance people thought I had an iPhone smh lol..... I say no I have the best phone on the market lol

I got the Spigen Slim Armor black case and I like it but it did make it a little bulky for my taste. I'm torn between using the Spigen or just not using a case. The phone feels and looks much better without a case IMO but I've already dropped it once..

I opted for two cases. I've always been a fan of Trident cases, so I use the Aegis on a daily basis. If I have to go out and need some more pocket room I use the Spigen Hybrid "air-cushion" case (With clear back).

I'm looking for a kickstand case with belt holster because the one I got at the Verizon store has a very slick feeling to the case and I'm just afraid it's going to slip out of my hand plus the kickstand is very, very hard to retract once extended and locked into place.

Got my case in the mail today! Unicorn beetle premium hybrid in clear with Gray edges. It looks amazing on the white phone. Shows off the back but makes it feel so much less slippery. I also put on my tempered glass screen protector. Now I do t feel like I am afraid to drop my phone!
