LG G3 EU Model - Use in UK

Hi,

I was looking to buy the LG G3 sim free, I came across it on expansys as the cheapest.

I was about to buy it, then seen it stated it was the EU model.

Does this work as per UK model , or are they the same model?
Will it work fine with uk networks and 3g and 4g in the uk.

I'm in the UK and mine is the D855-EUR....so far as I know there is no specific UK version. It works fine with my Three 3G signal....I don't have 4G yet but am not expecting any trouble when that becomes available.

Edit, 1 hour later: I think I've just got 4G; it's appeared in the status bar.

Edit, another hour later: Doh! Just got home and back to 3G....says H in the status bar.

Thanks for getting back to me and for the welcome, Il be coming over from my blackberry Z10 and Crackberry.

Did you buy your phone direct from 3?
Just very wary about buying this phone from expansys then getting stung at some point. But i grudge paying an extra 70 quid to buy it from currys etc which display it as a uk model.

Any Uk sim free buyers able to assist?

I bought mine from Carphone Warehouse for £479. I think that's still their current price. I prefer to buy from high street stores because if you get a problem, it's easier to return it....or at least, it is for me because there are several retailers near me. The prices may be higher, but (up to a point) I don't care about that.

If it helps, Argos are doing it for about £450 at the moment.

I contacted LG UK and they have advised that there warrenty will not cover the phone on expansys.
There warrenty only covers phones bought from there recommended uk businesses or networks.
Strange considering the UK is in the EU.
So i thought fair enough ill buy the phone from currys (2nd cheapest) then ---- Sold out since yesterday

Doh! But yes, you do have to bear in mind the possibility of no warranty when buying from some online retailers.

I bought 2 G3's, one from Carphone Warehouse for £400 with a 64gb sd card and a snap on circle case and the other from Argos Germany which is the 32/3gb for just over £400 delivered. LG told me that I would have to send the phone for repair if needed to the country it was bought from.

The Carphone Warehouse G3 was £449 but after I pointed out the deal for the German one they knocked the price down and added the extras.

UK here also and came over from the Z10. Got mine through 3 for free as I had an upgrade going begging. Nice thing about 3 is their phones now come unlocked. Got it on a contract that suited my wife who now has my z10If BB had released a phone of this caliber I would have stayed as I love BB10.3 OS.
