just sent an mms with an attached screenshot to my buddy who is on att w an iPhone. he got an error msg that said....

One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your handset.

your thoughts?

Tell them to come out of 2006 and get a phone worth having?

On a serious note: I'm going to buy this phone when I get paid next week from Verizon (only $100 seeing as I'm signing a new contract), is it worth it? Brandings don't really bother me, my current phone has a 2-3x times bigger one on the front and I never see it, so it's the least of my worries. Are there any major things I should know about before getting this phone? (I'm stepping up from a free smartphone, the Galaxy Stellar, so anything's better than my current phone at this point, lol.)

No need to worry. I love my Verizon G3. I am fortunate not to have issues like other members of the forum. You will enjoy the phone.

It's an iPhone issue. In fact it's something that happens with older devices in my experience. Happened with my G2 as well. It's because the files that the G3 sends can be up to 1200 kb and I don't think the receiving end can compress it enough so they get that message. It also makes a difference how the attachment is sent. For instance, my friends complained of that error when I sent directly from the gallery app. But if I went into messaging and added attachment, it didn't happen as often.

That's AT&T... They can't take more than 600kb.

How does the g3 radio compared to Motorola on VZW?

I could be wrong, but I thought the 50% off sale ends tomorrow the 27th...

I misread their website, guess I best be dippin' into my savings account and just replenish the value of my savings account when I get paid. I always keep $100+ for things like this in there, the rest I load onto checking.

can buy this phone for $500 right now, ughhh, what to do

since I'm in a 2 year contract, I won't have any issues just plugging my SIM card that is in my Note 3 and putting it into the G3 that I may buy from a 3rd party, correct?

Sounds like not only the Verizon model but most models are having trouble with ART. Anyone having problems?
The problem though is getting impartial feedback. Some have gone into full on fanboy delusional mode. Best to trust your own experience and approach any post as example with the words "amazing" and "battery life" in the same sentence with caution.

These too:

Mine never gets warm, yet alone hot!

No throttling on mine!

The Qhd drawn UI is butter smooth and super fast!

My G3 saved me and my cat from a wolf attack!

I came from a Droid RAZR Maxx and I can confirm that my signal is stronger and more often 4G in my area on the G3.

Correct. You will have to goto Verizon's website to activate the new phone using their simple online tool. You can activate any phone with a valid, non-banned Verizon ESN.

This is a carrier limitation. They limit the size of message attachments. That's one of the things I love most about iMessage because it completely bypasses any carrier interference with regard to the size of message attachments. When I was using my Note 3 I tried to get my iOS friends to download and use Hangouts for this very reason. Unfortunately it was a no-go as none of them wanted to be bothered with an "unnecessary" messaging app. **Sigh**

I should rephrase it, I also have unlimited data with the 2 year (did the best buy loophole) will it screw up anything by activating it on Verizon's website?

Thanks. That is what I have and the signal is my biggest concern.

Didn't want you to miss out, $100 is a steal for this phone
