I recently upgraded to a g5. My g3 motherboard was water damaged, causing the touch screen to stop responding half the time. I got a phone with a cracked screen and swapped the motherboard. All seemed well but the Wi-Fi can barely connect. The longest it's stayed connected is a minute. When I look at the connection list, my networks and my neighbors networks all pop in and out. Sometimes my network will disappear from the list while trying to connect or while connected. When it is connected it works perfectly, but won't stay connected for more than 30 seconds on average. I've tried different networks, it's the phone causing the issue. It's currently on android 6.0 and blue tooth works.
I've tried all the basics in the link at the bottom. Then I tried the tape trick, placing tape on the chip to add some pressure. Finally I used a heat gun to reflow the chip and nothing happened. I'm at a loss. My dad needs a new phone and I wanted to give him this one.
