Global H815 version (thanks AC!!!!)

Previous phone was a G3 and an Optimus G before that.

Lots of reviews here and i've been commenting in other threads so i'll keep this short and sweet and add as things come up!

CONS (no one ever starts with Cons!)
- bigger/heavier than the G3
- MMS size limit restricted to 300k when AT&T allows up to 1mb (textra fixed that)
- Group messaging removed (textra fixed this too)
- Knock code error issue, random times when it just doesn't work and i've gotten the 4 times wrong notification lol

Honestly 3/4 cons are probably just my issue lol

PROS
- Noticeably smoother than G3, scrolling and navigating is smooth and quick, same with app launching
- Games load faster than G3 (like a second or so lol), gets warm, not hot while gaming just after 30 mins
- Only lost 4% overnight with open apps and a game, which left off paused where it was the night before!
- Takes pics faster than G3, even in low light. Lightens subjects in low light which is awesome
- Screen is much brighter and speaker is much louder than G3

BATTERY, not much to say on normal use yet since i'm addicted to specific games, but i can say i average 3hrs 15mins of straight play from 100% to 15% when the battery saver kicks in (as i've set it). So theres still some juice but that's my cue to stop lol

CAMERA, my experience so far is better than the G3, and that thing took awesome pics at DisneyWorld last week haha. One thing i'll mention is that the zoom is much clearer on this than my G3. Still fuzzy, but better lol.

That's all for now!

Does your G4 seem 'laggy' when moving around the camera to different subjects?

In ample light and lowlight? Or maybe is this how high end phone cameras work now?

My last phone was from 2012 so i have no reference to go off besides what i see

Thanks for the review and I too get knock code errors constantly and I want to blame the screen protector
My code does consist of 6 knocks. maybe shorten it?

I'm only at 4 knocks but changing the pattern helped lol

Do you mean laggy as in takes too long to focus? Or you move the phone and it takes a second to catch up to the new viewing placement?

new viewing placement. although i did a hard boot and now it seems a bit more snappier.

or maybe i got used to it

I have the T-mobile version and agree with most of what you said except I don't have MMS issues on this version. If I may add my input, some of my additional pros over the G3 would be:
- The LED notification light is much brighter, which means I no longer have to keep my phone propped up to see it in a bright office.
- Also, the sound seemed to be louder than the G3 when playing it in my car through a 3.5mm (I had to keep it at a lower volume than usual).
- It seems to hold on to cell signal MUCH better in the fortress that is my office.
- Voice quality seems improved as callers have commented on the vivid clarity of my voice.
- I just got mine yesterday and I can already tell the battery life is GREATLY improved, as others have mentioned. Standby last night only lost a few percentage points with at least 20 apps open.
- Plus, this phone is just physically sexier. Lol. The diamond carbon fiber-looking front adds a nice touch and with the leather on the back, this thing is classy and ready for business! People can't believe there's leather on my phone and everyone seems to be curious about it.
- Last, but most importantly, no more overheating or battery draining issues that plagued my G3 after lollipop. I finally have a phone that 'just works' and continues to impress me.

One thing to note: Some people might consider the uneven back a con as it wobbles when you try to use it, but I don't use my phone flat on any surfaces so I don't mind it. Plus, a case would fix that (if you choose).
I am used to LG devices and knew what to expect going into this purchase, so as of yet, I don't really have any cons. The key is to buy the best device for YOU and not just what everyone else is buying. :)
Happy G4'ing, everyone!

You can really see that carbon fiber front under the sun and it does look good!

Thanks for adding!

Also, I changed my knock code and no issues with the error anymore. So scratch that con off for me now lol
