LG G4 looks interesting

I've had both phones for awhile now so if anyone has any questions let me know.

I do have a question for anyone else that has both. Have you tried charging your G4 with your Moto Turbo Charger? I assumed I'd get a quick charge but it took nearly 4 hours to go from 10% to 100%.
I don't have the phone, but my understanding of quick charge functionality is that it charges faster for lower battery percentages than it does for higher percentages. In other words, when the battery percentage increases, the charging rate slows.

I went from 10% to 100% and it took almost 4 hours. From the initial 10% it was charging at a rate of a percentage ever 3-5 minutes. Using another quick charger it goes up 1% every minute or less when it's under say 60% or so. Something was definitely wrong.

My Nexus 6 charger charges the G4 pretty quickly. I haven't timed it but it gets a good boost.

I had G3.... Excellent phone first 4 months then went to hell and got worse after 5.0 update....
I'd wait and see if the G4 is plagued with overheating, lagging issues like its predecessor

I returned the g3 for that same reason. Lollipop killed it.

It doesn't matter the percent the battery is currently at. It charges quickly for the first half hour or so then slows. So if you're at 50% you'll get to 75% very quickly, probably within that half hour. If you're at 20% you'll gain that same amount in the same half hour period as long as usage is equivalent.

Heat is higher during this time and may be the limiting factor. Or its a time thing.

Spent 20 minutes with it at the AT&T store and was mostly unimpressed.
Fairly laggy, double-tap to wake worked only about 70% of the time, and personally I need an AMOLED.

The only thing I felt would be an upgrade was the camera, which was very good.

I had the g4 for 4 days and returned. Really a shame I love new tech - hence the reason I am in the nexus 6 forum :) I am now thinking about one of these...

All in all I am a phone gamer - jungle heat/boom beach throughout the day to curb my ADD :) web browsing, bluetooth headset with music, and the g4 couldnt hang with me. I usually was off the charger at 7am to work by 7:30 - and down to 50% by 9am.

Be it signal, screen and CPU from games whatever - the battery was terrible.

Granted I am comparing it to my note 4 that I am currently using - either way I couldnt do it.

Same here, I had the phone for 4 days and returned it, not a bad phone but really nothing really stood out, I'm happy with my Nexus 6, I'll see what comes out in the fall/winter.

I love the N6. Have an S6 that I'm selling because I am just over the battery.
The N6 has good battery life but for its size should be better. I can get a day out of it where I'd have to charge my s6 by the afternoon..ever top at night.
Only thing.. If you game the N6 battery will drop faster than your Note. Note has the same battery reputation as the iPhone 6 plus.
You could try...moto give you a two week return without restocking (not sure about Google play).

Thanks maybe I'll wait for note 5. I have the itch for new tech now. Just have to contain it

Once you've used a 6 inch phone, even the LG G4 feels small in hand. I'm hoping Samsung ups he Note 5 to 6 inches!

LG G4 - I prefer the screen, the camera, and the form factor. I received my free battery/charging cradle and sd card from LG the other day. It's pretty nice swapping the battery out quickly, instead of waiting for a full charge (owning 3 flagships. I normally would swap a phone instead lol, but you get the point). Still waiting on my two leather backs to get here (buy one get one free from LG). The battery on the g4 is crazy. I really do not get great screen-on time, probably because of the display, but my standby time is ridiculous (I'm talking iPhone good). I'm averaging about 2 hr 30 min SOT w/ brightness on full and wi-fi off, but then I average about 22 hrs per cycle. I can go to sleep at 100% and wake up at 100%

Love my nexus still too! Love the speakers, don't mind the camera or battery life (I can bang out 4 hrs SOT w/ ease), but then I can hate the display at times (only when having another near by to compare it to, or if I'm outside). Also, I probably get better battery time because of how dim it is on max. The G4 will blind you lol.

It's a tough choice.
