LG G4 pictures deleted

In the north Ga mountains for a hike. Took lots of pictures but can't see them in Gallery. While hiking there was some internet and back at the cabin I have Wi-Fi. Pics generally upload to Flickr and Google photos. Any thoughts?

Use the file manager to see if the photos are stored on the device. If you don't see the photos there, then for some reason (which I don't know why) the photos might not have saved. If that's the case, do you think that possibly at any point images were deleted before you could upload?

I've tried it. One thread said to empty the cache on gallery. I did. No luck yet.

Crazy part is that pics I took before I left the cabin were saved. For safety sake, what folder would hold the pics on the phone?

If you take another pic, can you see that one in Gallery? Just wondering if perhaps the pics are suddenly being stored somewhere else.

Are you saving them to internal storage, or an SD card?

If using the included File Manager, tap on "All files". Then go to "SD card" or "Internal storage", depending on where you're storing the pics. My pics are stored in the DCIM\Camera folder, within either "SD card" or "Internal storage".

looks like I changed the settings accidentally when I was going to panorama, etc. I've now made the pictures go to the phone, and they're seen in gallery. The next question is if I can find someone who may be able to get photos of the sd card. Doesn't look good.

So the SD card is corrupted, or something similar? Photos stored previously to the SD card aren't there? Is there anything else on the SD card?

There are tools to try and recover lost/deleted data from memory cards, when you connect the cards to your computer. If you think they've been deleted somehow, or that the card is messed up, I'd look into those tools.

One thing I'd do is connect the phone to a PC and search both the SD card and the internal storage for *.jpg.

Actually, if you were messing around in settings, were you using Manual mode? If so, did you change the pics to be stored in RAW (DNG) format, rather than JPG? If so, they apparently will not appear in the Gallery app. But they'd still be there, in large (~30MB?) RAW-format files.

Thanks for the thread. Looks like the pics just aren't there; have searched all the files and its as though those pictures were never taken. Old photos are still there. Too bad for the hiking shots from yesterday....
