LG G4 : Pictures !

I've started to use HDR On all the time when I use Auto mode -- I find it does a great job of dealing with overexposed areas. And yes, the highlights on the soup are great :)

I set HDR to Auto as well. Maybe I should consider leaving it on.

But to me, manual mode is a god-sent, especially with camera hardware THIS capable.

I do not like HDR in low light at all. Does done really weird processing I don't like at all.

Absolutely, but sometimes there's just no time to do the manual thing.

Yep. I will eventually get chest deep in to it, but with getting everything else up and how I want it (including trying to figure out why my SoT is very good but my overall battery life is terrible), I haven't had a chance to play around with manual at all yet. I've always loved sp[orts photography, and I'm a sucker for great bokeh, so...

I'm assuming that in addition to that it may tend to cause some blur (because of multiple shots)? Or is the camera so fast there's no worry about that?

I wish I had keep an example but I didn't. But the pictures looked like they had done kind of grid overlay on it. Not easy to see but if you zoomed in it really stuck out. But like I said it was pretty low light.

ive found what it looks like on your phone can be quite different from what prints from your printer, it all depents on what color profile you have set on your printer/pc/monitor, i wouldnt know how to set it on a phone unless just filters

Middle picture in Auto mode. Light coming from the Windows and it's a cloudy and rainy. No flash. Third one is in manual mode a couple days ago on a partly sunny day. First one the other day in auto mode. I actually cropped this one to only include her top half.

I've been taking more pictures with this phone than any phone I've ever had. Never been a big camera guy, but this phone is turning me into one.

First picture focus on the flower, second picture focus is on the buds in front of the flower. Auto mode touch screen to focus.

Yes, you are indeed correct.

For that, auto mode works just fine, albeit with a bit of overexposure. I love to tweak my shots, however, so the manual mode is my favorite thing about this camera by far.

I have taken some more indoor shots with the G4.

The top is taken in Auto mode and the bottom is in Manual mode.

I find that the increased exposure of the Auto mode does help with indoor shots as it makes the shot easier to see and details are also made easier to see as well.

But I personally prefer the warmer look of the manual shot as I think it looks a wee-bit more pleasant to look at, but the Auto shot is also quite good and I think most people would like it, provided they're not too nitpicky.

See I don't like the warmer shots. If rather see the whites crisper me white.

That's fine. I tried to match what I saw with my eyes. Some might find it a bit too warm, though.

Some may not like warmer shots and that's fine. I also liked the shot taken in Auto mode.
