LG G4 screen issue

Ive seen the other thread with some people with marks on screen. My father in law has had his G4 for several weeks and he noticed a similar mark on his (kind of rectangular near top of screen. However he is seeing band of circles across the middle. If he cleans the screen they seem to just about disappear but can still be seen and they slowly get more obvious.Lg are claiming its water damage but he's adamant that its never been wet.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing these marks?

I know this is an obvious question, but just to be sure--he doesn't have a screen protector on, does he? If not one he applied himself, then maybe one of those Zagg protectors that are applied in a kiosk?

No nothing. He wondered the same thing (if it came pre installed) but we've all looked closely and can't see anything at edges.

A screen protector may even render the marks invisible....have you tried one?

We can give it a go. My father in law is still battling with lg. Just wondered if anyone might know what may have caused it.
