LG G4 - The Honeymoon is over!!

Me thinks OP wanted an iPhone from the start and has been suffering from buyer's remorse for a week. It happens, and it's OK. That's why carriers give you 14 days to make sure. iPhones are good to go to when there is nothing else on the market that catches your interest.

Enjoy whatever you end up with, OP! Let us know if you are happy.

I had optimus g pro (my beloved ex) for 2 years ..until it was stolen last week. I loved the phone with all its cool features and the issues. I am waiting for G4 to be delivered this week. The thing is no matter what phone you opt for, there will ALWAYS be issues. Smartphones are not perfect. You just need to figure out how to get around them, switching phones is not always the solution.

You're not alone. Just returned my LG G4. Disappointed because I was REALLY looking forward to this phone. I am going to wait for the next iPhone to come out, because none of the other Android phones are intriguing.

If you don't think any android phones are intriguing.... I'm not sure what you are looking for. The note series are beasts, the s6e is unique as it gets, the HTC m9 is a solid phone and the g4 offers a little bit of everything.
Say what you want about android, but interesting and options are not a problem.

Battery life on mine isn't looking too good either. I enabled Google Wallet and it seems to take a big bite out of the battery. BTW I'm coming from a G2. So this is all relative to it.

I am working on my battery life now. Trying to disable the useless syncs i don't need with Google, changed my email syncs to Manual, and have my brightness set to Auto.

This is where i am at now with usage:

what's intriguing about any Iphone?? A slightly taller ceiling to hit your head on?

You can go to Settings-General-Accounts & Sync. From there, you can set how often you want your email synced, and if you go to Google, you can set the individual syncing on pretty much everything Google syncs on your phone.

This is where i am at now at just under 3 hours total time.

With Google you can only turn on/off the things it syncs not set interval times correct? You would have to set interval times in another email client, if you use one.

To my knowledge, only the email that you set intervals on syncing. With other Google services, it's either on or off. But that's why I chose which services I want Google to sync, and the services I do not use at all, I want to remain off.

Try installing the app Greenify. It works on non rooted phones as well. You just have to manually hibernate the apps versus automatic hibernate with root access. It might help with the battery life.

I used Greenify and it can auto hibernate if you're not rooted. Used it on my G2 and my wife's Nexus 4.
