LG G4 timeline and memories views in gallery app do not work, is there a setting I have to turn on or off to use these?

LG G4 timeline and memories views in gallery app do not work

The timeline view in the gallery app won't show/sort my pictures by day or by month, only by descending or ascending date taken.
The memories view stays blank, even if I take all pictures with location on.
Is there any setting that I have to turn on or off to use these?

Go into you phone settings to Location and make sure under Location that "tag photos or videos with location" is checked. Also, Did you go to memories and use the camera app from there? Couple ideas.

When you look at your pics, each separately does it tell you the location?

Mine either... even though each picture is embeded with a time stamp all the pictures show up on the same date.
I took my last G4 back for having this problem and a few others; I no longer have the other issues but this one is persistant in this phone as well. Tried adjusting the taging photos option with no success.

found this in another forum: you must save all photos in internal memory.there is a bug, photos from external memory cannot be altered-modified and then saved.photos must be saved internaly.i use google photos for editing,making stories,collage etc.

Mine works with SD card. But only the pictures I took after the SD card is mounted work. All the pictures from before and from the old phone won't show up in Timeline or Memory screens.

I'm having the same issue. Internal or SD card photos taken do not show up in the memories menu. I can click on individual pictures and clearly see it's geo tagging them.

I've had this problem since day one and even had a thread re this. I want to return this garbage phone. All pics have location enabled and are all tagged. Whether on sd card or not; whether I've taken them from the Memories app or not; it just doesn't work.
