LG G4 TMobile USA Marshmallow update

The OTA MM update has been pretty good on battery life for me so far. Anyone having issues with Now on Tap not working?

You can use Bridge. It's fine, there's nothing wrong with it. It'll probably give you the same result. What ever you want man.

That's what I used weeks ago and glad I took the plunge. No problems at all. A much smoother upgrade than the last one to Lollipop. All of my apps are "Marshmallow ready" unlike last time a couple were broken for awhile.

Got it February 9th and no problems. My business partners G4 is on Verizon and he got his Thursday 2/18 so hopefully everyone on T-Mobile has it by now.
Actually, he hasn't updated because he is afraid it will screw up his phone that had several problems prior to whatever the last Verizon update was that fixed everything.

I don't know what's up with T-Mobile, didn't get a notification so far.

How does the LG Bridge work? Would it give me the same performance if it was OTA?

Does anyone know why this is happening? Why this is different from every other Android update I've ever received? Why do I have to wait for an overnight install?

Also, Bridge is still telling me I'm up to date.

I got this same notification. Mine updated right at 11:06 like it said it would. It was my first time seeing it too

Still... Waiting.. But it's semi heartening to know we're not the only ones! Really though, rather have it happen on my day off so I can spend it reconstructing my phone again.

Got it overnight. Set everything up this morning to my liking. Gotta say, pretty smooth.

Also, I did a factory reset before I did anything. I don't know how the initial installation took. Didn't care to find out.

It seems more responsive as well. It's always been a great device. After buying the G4 and doing the disable/uninstall thing, it reminded me of my Nexus 5. Now it actually seems faster.

Greenify seems to take a little longer to get going. I sat there for what seemed like 10 seconds waiting for it to shut down an app.

Just got the update this morning.
I am prepared to do a factory reset if need be, but I was wondering if anyone has had great luck with battery life and has avoided many of the problems and associated with the update WITHOUT a factory reset??

I know I did the factory reset, but I've been up on this battery for over an hour and I'm still at 100%. Can't imagine that's gonna last.

I think I'll let er ride for a day or so and see how it goes. I've got my contacts, texts, pictures, and settings for Nova launcher backed up so hopefully a factory reset won't be terribly painful. I just have the hardest time remembering which apps to reinstall. Ha! Thanks!

Keep us posted. I'm curious, I didn't even give it a chance. I used LG Backup yesterday in preparation as well as backing up Action Launcher.

I never did a factory reset and my phone has been fine since the update I got last week
