I just returned from the Verizon store (Corporate store, not a franchise retailer). The phone is SO much lighter than my Note2. I asked questions about ordering online vs in-store purchase vs Best Buy. Since I am still on unlimited data plan I knew I had to purchase the phone outright vs. contract. The salesman said that IF you purchase thru Best Buy (either contract or full price), any problems, errors, questions, etc have to be handled thru Best Buy. In other words, if I bought it at Best Buy, even tho on Verizon's service, all hardware issues are now Best Buys hardware issues. And they in-turn would go back to LG, vs being handed a new phone when purchased at Verizon. I'm sure he's hyping that as a selling point for him, but a good point non-the-less.
By the way, he was adamant that I dump my unlimited plan for something "cheaper". I think they must be on a mission to get everyone off unlimited plans asap.
Also, he expained the new $49 LG 8.3 tablet price only applies if buying the phone either on-contract or on Edge. You can't get the $49 tablet deal if purchasing phone full-price. And I just tried it online also, when you click Full Price, the tablet promo goes away. (I have the original GPad 8.3, still love it)
