LG G4 Water Test

Wow that's crazy! How is that phone okay with all that water in the battery compartment?

Crazy. Makes me feel pretty confident the phone will survive an occasional splash!

^^^Oh, you mean DON'T take a new, £500 high quality precision-electronics device and hold it under a running tap, to see what will happen.😕

....It staggers me that some people will deliberately immerse phones in water, whether waterproof or water-resistant or not....will actually go into the sea to take underwater photos and so on....and are then surprised that the phones get WET inside and STOP WORKING.

the horror! I can't watch that video. Like I have to turn away from a scene or two of The Walking Dead.

Does he get something for doing this?

Does he feel that he's doing a public service?

I don't get it... But then I'm a old fart and don't get a lot of things kids do these days for a few minutes of fame....

I am thankful there are clowns like this guy to prove if the phone is water resistant.

I'm curious why LG doesn't mention this. It obviously has some kind of hydrophobic coating on it. Seems like another great feature to brag about, probably something to do with the *legal* side of things.

I still wouldn't intentionally try it out myself.

Are you... did he just... Holy Crappy. I thought, "Oh well, sure, anyone can run it under water and I doubt anything would happen to it", but he just stuck it while on in the water and left it there for 2 hours. 2 Hours later it still worked fine and is still working fine today. Ok. Color me impressed.

Sorry, that's not 4 inches of water depth, maybe 1 or 2 inches top. I don't know if it makes a difference, but unless I'm on hokeypokey drugs that's not 4 inches of water.

Anyways, it's still impressive that it's that water proof.

BTW I don't really care if he's wrong, but it's an obvious mistake.

I would never do that .. ever. No reason to do that ^_^.

This is cool. There is a couple of these posts making the main news in the tech headlines. Good enongeering on LGs part

Yes, but not very good engineering of that user's brain, on God's part.
