Lg g4... With all issues.. Is it still worth it

I am intrested in the g4.

But with all the issues recently is it a worthwhile device still

I know the g5 is coming soon... But the pricing looks to be high

So what did you do, OP? I just got a G3 a few months back, then I liked it so much I grabbed a factory refurbished G4 two weeks ago for $240 and gave the G3 to my wife.

It's got the annoying problem with the double tap home screen to wake feature, and it's 505 5/2015 batch, so the boot loop may show up, but so far it's a great phone, camera is sweet I love the f/1.8 lens.

The newer G4 handsets should be OK. Remember every manufacturer will have lemons. If you Google, 'common Samsung S7 problems' I'm sure you'll find they have issues too. If you like the G4 go for it.

If you buy right now a G4 is not going to be affected by the issue. Remember the only ones with the problem is with devices that serial numbers starts with 505, 506, 507, 508.

Where do I find the serial number?

I've had my G4 since March. Overall I've been very happy with it. The only problem I've had with it is that the wifi signal in my house has to be at least three bars or more for anything to load. Especially YouTube videos. The wifi will also occasionally turn itself off in the middle of watching a video. If I miss the toast notification, it would be easy to use a lot of data. I do have IFTTT installed and have a recipe to turn off wifi when I leave my house. So it could be a GPS issue.

I had a similar issue using Chromecast in the living room. I could load videos, would play for approx 2 min. than freeze. Router is in computer room (spare bedroom). I installed a wifi extender in living room. (bought at Best Buy for approx. $30) & now everything OK. I just checked wifi signal strength - have full bars in entire house from extender. I also have decent wifi in entire yard.
