LG G5 ain't so bad you know

If it wasn't for the design build issues I would have jumped in this phone already. I know many have never had any problems but the reports indicate there was / is an issue around.
Love all the clever features and keeping traditional useful things such as removable battery and IR blaster.

Would like to know as well, but I'm over it.

It's the nature of the "big boys" (read: competition/other manufacturers) to pay some "highly regarded" tech site/writer, to bash/drag down others's good products.

Also, since mass production (be it about cars, toys, electronic devices...) are made these days in such an enormous number, you can not guarantee a 100% success rate.

It's only up to the end user, if said device will be returned for a refund/exchange, or is it better to waste his/her precious time to write/spread negativity, which, in the end won't solve the issue. Of course, just my opinion.

The other thing about a removable battery is its a hard boot (or re-boot) for the device. If it ever hangs, you can always yank the plug. It won't resurrect a device thats completely bricked, BUT it is one more line of defense.

I didn't think that's much different than holding down a power button to hard boot

Maybe... depending on the phone. IIRC, I think I read some forum posts a while ago where members pulled the battery as a way to re boot. I think it was the G4 or G2 forum where I read that. Admittedly its a bit presumptuous on my part to assume the same scenario exists on the G5.

Its definitely a hard boot by pulling the battery but my point is that outs not necessary to do so because holding down the power button forces a hard boot

There's another advantage of being able to remove the unit's battery: it can cool down in a shorter time, when something isn't working right (badly coded app taxing the processor, generating a good amount of heat...).

A lot of people criticize this phone, however if you go over to some of the other forums you will see a lot of issues. I was going to test out an HTC 10, however I'm seeing a lot of stuff I don't like being reported. Camera issues including Autofocus that might get fixed during an update, screen issues where you have too wait for the glue to cure or other issues with screen requiring exchange, problems with SD compatibility. If you go into the samsung forums you will see that they too have their share of problems and quirks. It makes me wonder why these manufacturers can't do a better job with QA and QC.
