When I use my headphones on my LG G5 there is very obvious hissing/static noise on the left side especially when there is heavy bass. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? I am using Bose QC25. Thanks for any help.

I noticed with some cheaper Sammy headphones it's a bit difficult to actually get the last click when plugging I the headphones!!

I didn't figure it out until I moved around a little bit and noticed some static. Upon further inspection I realized ... I wasn't completely plugged in.

Once it makes that last click... the connection was even more tough to disconnect... and of course the static was completely eliminated!!

Hi thanks for the reply. My headphone is completely plugged in so I dont think that is my problem. So I just tried it with regular apple headphones and there is no static/noise at all. Yet my Bose works perfectly on my laptop..

Rut roh!?!? Lol!!

Sorry bro... couldn't even guess why that's happening!?! Maybe Irvine752 will chime in here in a bit.. he has been playing with G5 and some nice headphones.!??

Alright I just figured out whats going on. The noise cancel on my bose is interfering somehow and causing the unwanted noise. Once I turn off the noise cancel, the sound is normal. Would be nice if anybody else with the LG G5 and noise cancelling headphones can test this and report what they are experiencing. Thanks all

Do you only hear the static when the noise cancelling is turned on/active or maybe just passive? Also what's the operating system you're running on the laptop? I have a pair of PX450 I use when I'm flying, they are not too far off from your Q25s. I have yet to notice any hissing or static on my end.

Hi. I found out that it is the noise cancel that is interfering with my phone and producing static. When I turn it on, there is static and none when It is off. Now that I know the problem I just don't know a solution.. I emailed LG support about it so lets see what they say.

The active noise control might be over compensating with the negative ambient sound. Almost all the noise cancelling headphones have a tiny little microphone that measures ambient sound around you. If you can find it, make sure it's not clogged or covered up. It's hard to get a reference point & rule out a couple of things unless you try out the headphones on a different but same phone model, maybe a display model at a store?

Regarding Bose headphones. I have QC3's and the in-ear ones (I forget the model number) Both are noise-cancelling and both of them have hiss and crackling in the left ear when the noise-cancelling is turned ON. If I turn it OFF then there's no hiss or crackling. I took to using the earphones that LG provided with the phone and there's no hiss or crakling there either, but of course they're just regular passive earphones. Both pairs of Bose headphones work fine with my iMac. There's not a lot of other info around as far as I can tell.

I am using a Bluetooth pair with no issues butt it may have a different type of noise cancellation.......I will ask my daughter to try her qc25s later

Really... Of course your Bluetooth headphones won't have the issue.

Perhaps you shouldn't act as if other people are stupid. Why is it of course because I have Bluetooth? I am referring to those who mentioned it was a noise cancellation issue.

I tried my daughter's QC25s and no hiss. I'm on verizon and I just got an update before trying it out but not sure that had anything to do with it. I believe that some people that were having static issues playing though their car with a media Jack had issues with static or noise and an update resolved it

Not trying to butt in, but they are talking about headphones with noise cancellation that have to be plugged in. Bluetooth. Being connected wirelessly, will not have that issue.

There was not enough information to deduce that because noise cancellation seemed to have an effect. Not one person mentions that it is specific to wired headphones..... Only that noise cancellation has an effect. Also I did not notice anyone else posting about Bluetooth so you can't really say that for sure. In addition in my next post I stayed that I used my daughter's QC25S....one of the models with the issue and both my daughter and I could not find an issue. Neither one of you criticizing my post about Bluetooth has actually offered any factual information or has contributed anything to this thread from personal experience.
