AC Question

Okay. I have an LG G5 and it's been in good condition for the year that I've had it. But I still have one more year on the contract and I don't have insurance on it. Just a disclaimer. Anyways, recently my phone got condensation in the camera's and I put it in rice and left it there for a day. When I came back to it, it worked but there were vertical lines going through the screen. Then, last week I'm not sure what happened to it, but it started flickering purple and ghost tapping things. You could still see everything on the screen though. Today, I was on my phone about to make a call and the screen turned fully gray with a lot more lines going through it. I can't see my screen at all now. Any idea of what could be wrong, if it's fixable, or about how much would it cost to fix? Any help would be great, thanks.

Diagnosis via a forum is difficult but someone here may be able to do it, though if correct it would probably be by chance.

Replacing the display seems to be the only option. If the display was partially visible, you could run a screen burn in app for a while and possibly fix the messed up pixels. It would be helpful to post an image on the forum of your phone in its current state.

How to fix LG G5 Screen Split issue using Heatgun.

Disassemble LG G5 using the link below.

Disconnect the Wifi Cable (Black One), Rear Camera, Front Camera.

Now with just the logic board, place it on a surface that won't melt.
It should look like the picture below. Warning don't take off anything else

Turn on your heatgun and apply left right motion only concentrating on the cpu metal plate for around 15 seconds.
Do the same thing on the opposite side of the cpu plate.
Let it cool down for around 10 minutes.

Put it back together and it should work.
I did it atleast four times, first time it worked but failed after few minutes.
Second and third time was not working at all.
The fourth time I did it, it was working.
It's been a while and it still going.
