LG G6 Battery Life not looking up to par...anyone have a similar experience?

Battery life is great for me.

I had great battery life. I was getting 4-5 hours SoT, more than I got on the S7 edge.

Granted the battery life is better than my G3 but it's still nothing like some of what I see here, and it appears to be the Phone Idle component - it's either right behind screen or ahead of it if I'm not using it as much. Also I haven't experienced what I would call fast charging, it takes about an hour and a half to fully charge from 5%, which is the same for my G3.

My battery life hasn't been so well. The whole reason why I bought this phone was because LG enhanced the battery life on the G6.

I'm still in shock and inspired by how so many people are getting 4+ SOT while I'm barely at 2 hours at 10% battery life

I suspect some apps are eating up my battery without me even know about it.

It's not a shock since everyone's usage, network, apps and various other things are different. So one person getting 5 SOT and other one getting 3 SOT means nothing. You should compare yourself with your previous device and see if it's better or worse since you are probably using the same apps as your previous phone, similar usage and network conditions.

I agree. LG G6 is not holding on to the charge very well. With full battery, it lives around 16-18 hours on moderate usage. My V20 and S7 Edge were way far better. Both always lasted more than a day. I hope this can be fixed through an update.

Mine lasts longer than my v20 did, so far loving this much more than v20

Mine has been excellent so far. Much better than my previous phone (Note 5). Initially I thought it was sub-par, but I found out that Message + was really draining the battery down super fast. Once I removed it and switched to regular Messaging app, the battery life jumped up considerably. Instead of coming home from work with 50% or so, I'm coming home with over 70% left.

Ok. I found the culprit. Accuweather app. I removed it and now my battery lasts me all day with no problem...whew! Love this phone.. did not want to part with it....

Thanks for discovering this, it has helped quite a bit. I'm still getting close to 4 hours SOT but hoping it will go longer as I've only had the phone for 6 days.

My last phone was an iPhone 7 (had it for 3 months for testing purposes) and the battery life was very good on it (insane standby time)
