Ok. I've been playing around in manual to see if my issues are being caused by auto's processing and I stumbled upon something I'm hoping someone else can help me with. Whenever I increase my shutter speed to 1/200 or faster, horizontal black lines appear across my image. The faster I go, the darker those lines get. Anyone have an explanation of what I did to cause that or what's wrong here? I'll attach a couple samples which were taken of a plain, white wall.

It is only a plain white wall in your mind. The G6 has revealed the wall's true nature to you.

Here are a few comparisons of less than desirable lighting. HDR on, auto.LG1.jpgPixel1.jpgLG2.jpgLG2.jpg

Pixel is definitely better in low light, no surprise, but so far I am happy with the G6. First pic is LG, second is Pixel.

Nice pics....did you edit those at all? Did you use auto mode or manual mode ofr those? :-)

I had the G6 for a short while and just about all my pics were blurry. Especially in low light or any kind of movement.

Just curious, how's the photo quality from the auto mode as compared to V20?? As far as I know, V20 auto mode is not really that good especially for low light photography.

This isn't exactly "low light", but it is auto mode.

It's about the same. I find it to be a bit slower than the V20 in low light. They both suffer from slow shutter speeds resulting in blurry shots especially with subjects that move around like people and pets. I'd say, if you want a good overall camera especially for low light and you're due for an upgrade maybe try out the S8 or S8+ instead. My S7E, Pixel and iPhone 7+ all take better photos in low light compared to the G6 and V20.

I do notice if you turn off HDR it is a bit faster, but you lose that extra processing.
