Ok... So movement with kids still look great with 0 blur on auto settings in good lighting. Basically only minor issue is movement in low light condition. Everything else camera is insanely good

A little trick with the G5 which should work with the G6. Go to manual mode, and don't change anything. Night mode doesn't get activated so the shutter speed should be faster in dimmer conditions.

I noticed when looking at my photos the data shows they were shot at 1/60th shutter speed and 50 ISO during a cloudy evening. Instead of a faster shutter speed and ISO200 or 400 or whatever. I heard talk over at XDA forums of the photo preferring a slow shutter vs higher ISO. kinda sucks there's no shutter priority or sports mode. You have to do full manual to override anything. Which is a pain and when i tried the sun was in and out of the clouds faster then i could get the settings adjusted properly.

It kind of depends on what you are taking pictures of. It's all about controlling the light and how much light you are wanting. When taking pictures of a still or landscape I would rather have low iso and have a shutter speed that is lower. If you have people or any movement you need more light on the shot to shot the motion. You can do that with higher iso and shutter speed. I think it can be fixed with a software update. The question is if lg thinks an update is needed. I haven't decided what I'm doing yet.

I think it's pretty much hit or miss. Some photos look good and others look bad. There is a possibility of bad sensors.

would like to read/know your opinions on these five pictures taken with the G6: night time building with normal and wide angle, 1 night time shot and, pictures of the sky at 15,000 feet in normal and wide angle. all pictures were point-and-shoot on auto mode. i consider these pics to be very good for my needs/uses. thanks for your replies/input.

These are great photos. The night shots are well lit and show a lot of detail. The clouds also look good.

So here's a few I've taken. I'm happy with the photos. I know there are some compromises, but I'm still happy with the whole thing.

This is my son at a birthday party, rolling down a mat. Not horrible quality in my experience. No where near a DSLR photo of course.

I had a similar issue with the pixel before I returned it. Stills were fine but video wouldn't focus at all. Maybe OIS algorithm is off

So the camera still struggle with movement in subpar lighting or has it been improved with an update?
