Hi everyone. I am planning to buying LG g6 on Saturday. I am confused where I should go for it or I should wait for our buy some other mobile phone. Please help

A new G6 probably won't get a LOT cheaper until months from now when the G7 presumably comes out. There will always be a better phone out in a couple of months that will make you regret what you bought today.

My wife has a G6 now and she's had Samsung Galaxy S phones since the S2. The S2, the S3, the S4, the S5, wisely skipped the S6, and then S7/Edge. The G6 is her first non-GalaxyS phone in years. And she really likes it.

I think the fingerprint reader and power button out back are definitely not to her liking, and of course she had to reprogram the BACK and TASK buttons to the Samsung standard so she didn't go nuts (but the S6 allows that, and that's really nice).

But she's very happy overall she upgraded.

Since the g6 is insanely cheap, I think you should buy it.
Just make sure that it has warranty on it, and you should be set.

There's not much to go wrong with.

I've had mine for two weeks and have been very happy with it. I love the rear button/fingerprint sensor. Always had trouble with it on my S7 and this G6 blows away the S7 in battery life. Yes, LG has some bloatware but not to the level that Samsung does. Cameras are phenomenal and you'll love the wide angle.

Hello! The G6 is one the best flagships out there to date. I think it's a little underrated but it's one of the best. You could certainly buy it now and not be disappointed, in my opinion! Don't think you'll find any sales on it (as in, a premium drop in price) at the moment - but Black Friday and Christmas deals are just around the corner!

I recommend the Platinum colour, as the Black G6, though beautiful, is a big fingerprint magnet.

G6 is a sweet deal and if you're in the US it has a two year warranty

I picked up a mint G6 about 3 weeks ago for $300 on swappa.com. I'm pretty impressed at how good this phone is for that price.

Hey folks,

Been lurking here a bit trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on a G6. Well, last night I got one (Verizon, Platinum) and I must say I'm very happy so far. Coming from a V10 (second unit, first bootlooped 2 days before warranty ran out), I love the fact that the screen size is basically identical but the chassis is noticably lighter. I of course really would love a V30, but initial launch price will probably be too high and I'm hoping for some sort of Black Friday sale to come about. With the down payment I put down on the G6 it wouldn't take much to pay it off and make that happen, and then trade-in the G6 right back to them. Very pleased, especially for the price. 😀

Awesome. Welcome.

Agreed. The G6 is a good phone, but the upgrade experience from the G4 to G6 has taught me one thing:

The mobile phone industry is, now, pretty much where the PC industry was not too long ago...at a point of "decreasing returns" for lack of better words. In day-to-day use, there are simply no major improvements in performance to be seen. Maybe we're getting to the point in this industry where a phone can last 5+ years before needing to be replaced, much like the PC market.

Anyway...kinda off topic, but the OP's question pushed my brain in that direction....

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I appreciate it! Today received case and tempered glass screen protector from Amazon, I got the Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear case and protector. Again, very happy with both purchases. On a side note, what a pain in the behind getting that code sticker off of the back of the phone! Seeing as this is a clear case I wanted nothing on the back, and that took quite a bit of work to completely remove the sticker and all its adhesive. I'm happy to say no damage done to the phone itself, and since I left the factory protector on the screen until installing the tempered glass, the screen with glass in place is absolutely pristine and I love the buttery smooth feel and response. Also got the Panosomi aluminum and rosewood wireless charger, as I had purchased one for my wife's Galaxy S8 a couple weeks back during an Amazon Lightning sale. We love the way they look, and they work flawless even with our Spigen cases attached to the phones.

Most humble apologies to Morty, just read in another thread you're a female. Was not trying to be disparaging when I said thanks guys for the welcome, sorry!

Hey, no worries here! I always call people "guys," "dudes," or what have you! Sometimes the girls I say "dudes" to say to me "But we're girls!" and I'm like "... But 'dude' is gender-neutral to me!" 😜 Please don't worry about it - I didn't even notice, and am certainly not offended. :)

Just a follow-up, I'm on my sixth day with my G6 and I'm very happy. I know it's early but battery life has been excellent, and this screen is great as far as I'm concerned. It may not be AMOLED but brightness is more than adequate in direct sunlight, and no polarization in landscape mode! That used to frustrate me to no end with the V10. So, to the OG post, I certainly think it's great to buy. Also, wireless charging is bad ***, don't think I'll ever go back to a cable if I can help it...

I love my g6, don't think I would describe battery life as excellent, I also have the e4 plus and had the z play and OnePlus 5, but enough to get me thru the day. Welcome to the squad.

Thanks. Maybe I'm just thrilled compared to the way my V10 seemed to fade rapidly about mid afternoon sometimes...

Any comments on GPS and Signal strength? After all the G5 and V20 signal and GPS problem very curious to hear about G6

i dont use Gps much but so far what i have been used it has been okay.. Signal strenght for me is always on 4/5, 5/5 bars. Though some people are complaining they don't hear me well.. And i have noticed that i hear them clearly over whapp calling.
