Galaxy s8 is > $1k CAD dollars in Canada.

I already pre-ordered Galaxy s8 plus which is around $1.1k; but local carriers offer $510 CAD dollars for LG G6 with no term.

Should I go for LG G6 then ? It is dirty cheap!

G6 is a nicer phone than the S8. If you are a regular user of the fingerprint button, the placement of the button on the S8 is poor. G6 is a winner.

For that price it's a no brainer unless there is a feature that you feel is worth double the money. I would be the G6 even if it were the same money.

Oh god, that's a no-brainer. Go for the LG G6.

I find that hard to believe considering that all of the major carriers in Canada are selling the G6 for 900 to 1000 with no contract. Link?

Returned my G6 to T-Mobile since got one brand new from Craigslist for $470. Good to be staying near TMobile's headquarters, employees in certain department generally get some gift especially LG and HTC phones when they release and I can generally find one for a good deal. I was planning to return my G6 anyway for S8+ but for $470 I'll just keep it and use it as a backup or as main phone when I get bored with S8+.

All the major carriers have an amazing deal where you trade in your old phone (based on a list of phones) and receive a huge credit towards a g6.

I was debating between the S8+ or the g6, and it was a no brainer when they gave me $400 for my old g3 - which gave me a free g6 on a 2 year term. So far so good, didn't push it too hard today, took it off the charger at 7am, and still have 50% battery.

Looking for input, seems to be some g6 lovers here. What's important to me is battery life, in hand feel (subjective, I know), and especially screen brightness and sharpness (bad eyes). I've always had moto amoled displays and my daughters htc lcd always looks washed out to me. Soo . . Anyone have an opinion to offer on any of those three areas? Thanks :-)

I've heard that the G6's AOD is very good, which is a plus for display and for accuracy of catching notifications in particular.

The screen to body/bezel ratio of the phone is great, and so the "big screen feel" is actually pushed into a smaller body size, and so it feels smaller in your hand. I'm excited to hold it in-person and see for myself, but it's definitely a thing of beauty from what I've heard.
