LG G6 Looks Like it has Already Failed

Yes, seems aimed at the uneducated user market. Those who pay flagship prices for a non flagship phone.

I don't see one standout feature compared to the competition and I see many areas where it is lacking. Its a good ok phone. Unless they are planning on selling it based on really lowering the cost.

Eh people can pay as much as they want for the device that suits their needs better. There are clear advantages to the 6 over the V20 for a lot of people, we just focus on the drawbacks and we're a much more niche crowd. I'd be shocked if the G6 didn't at least double the V20 sales.

Just because they don't agree with you on phone choice doesn't mean they are uneducated.. it just means that phone fits their needs or wants more is all. :P.

They did a good job on the G6...I think it will sell well

They went with the features that appeal to the masses.

Yup - ditched the modules, made it bigger and almost bezel-less... I must say, the 5.7" design that somehow still makes it a phone that can fit in your hand is absolutely amazing and revolutionary, IMO.

I would say that making it glass and water resistant will be a big plus for the mainstream buyer as will the wireless charging for some. Some are upset that there is no DAC in the US but the average person won't care.

Unless LG is planning on competing on price, why buy the G6. I don't see one feature that is better than any of the standard flagships and I see several that are behind. So why buy this phone unless you just don't pay attention to the competition. To me it just seems strange you would go into a store and walk out with a phone that is not as powerful as a competitors phone for the same price.

Really I am just trying to understand why people say the G6 will sell. Personally I have liked several LG phones, but I did not buy a G4 after several friends had problems. The G5 never shipped the only interesting add on in the US. I am still thinking about a V20, but will probably wait until the Fall to see what the V30 and Note 8 have to offer.

I don't see how it isn't a powerful as what's currently available. How much power does anyone need? If you mean because it only has 821 processor, that's not a deal breaker for most. I don't plan on buying one because I'm happy with the V20, but if I had to choose between the current offering and the G6 its an easy choice. It offers most of the current trendy features and a Large screen in a small form factor and expandable memory and a twin camera. This phone is getting a lot of positive attention, good reviews and LG is finally offering the things that were part of the reason they avoided LG.

Which competitor phones are "more powerful" at the same price and which ones are the same in terms of what mainstream consumers care about?

And if someone really cares about the quad DAC the V20 will be sitting right beside the G6.

Who knows, maybe they might put out a new G6 after this one before or during the summer time, with a Snapdragon 835. Just a guess. I don't think they could really make it from now until Late October to get the next best phone out, if there is going to be one (LG V30). The V20 has turned a lot of heads already, a lot more than the G5. I'd be surprised if they didn't make The V30.

You can't forget about the Note fiasco and assume Samsung has it on easy Street. The G6 is super sharp, is waterproof, has a big screen and has a supposedly great camera.

I'm not sure that has anything to do with my comment

Why do they keep releasing flagship devices with only 32gb storage? At least offer 64GB as an option.

It's just a cost cutting measure. They give you an SD card slot to mitigate this and push the cost of upgrading the phone's storage away from the initial phone price and to the end consumer.
