Hi Guys,

I bought a this device, the Asian version and was all good until 2 days ago unexpectedly the screen started failing while watching a movie with different symptoms, half of the screen flickers and overall the bottom and top of the screen you can see some part of the graphics flickering constantly. this happens even during booting up and when the phone is off and charging, you can see the battery charging indicator all stretch along the screens. This is very upsetting, your advise is greatly appreciated, thanks

Welcome to the forum. Does the G6 have a removable battery? If so I'd remove it for 5 minutes and then try booting up the phone again. If that doesn't help, you could try a factory reset in hopes it's an app gone nuts. Otherwise I think you're looking at a repair shop or new phone. Hope the first two fix it for you.

You cannot remove the battery.

That looks like a hardware failure. If you have warranty, I would use it.

If you don't..... Ouch.

Something very similar happened on my old G3. Never knew what it was since I used that as an opportunity to upgrade.

That's generally the result of a loose display ribbon cable. Contact LG and see if they'll warranty it. If not see what they'll charge to reseat the cable. With water resistant phones I'm very skeptical to suggest a 3rd party repair shop.
