Hi all, if i get an LG g8 tmo version, am I right in assuming I have to wait for tmo to update to a10, even if i unlock the phone?

Any ideas how long I would have to wait?

Is the g8 ok on nova? Maybe getting Nova until tmo gets their update out in 3 or 6 or whatever months is a good option?

I ask as new tmo versions are pretty cheap on eBay.

To answer your question about Nova, I used it for a while on my G8 and it worked great.
About t-mobile and Android 10, Sprint already has released Android 10 for their variants, so I can't imagine it'll take a significant amount of time (3-6 mos like you suggested) to roll out for t-mobile variants.
About the phone in general, it is a great option especially in the >450 dollar range that it is easily found in these days. From what I see, the comparable options in that price range do not have anywhere near the amount of flagship features and extras like the G8
