LG Keyboard has stopped

[AC Question]

My LG phone is displaying the message, "Unfortunately, LG Keyboard has stopped." I can not text or use anything which requires use of the keyboard. This phone is not even a month old yet. NOT HAPPY!!!!!

I've tried what you suggested as well as trying force stop. Nothing is working Started having this problem today and it's quite frustrating. Powered phone off and then turned back on. I'm stuck. I have a LG Optimus from Metro PCS

Just go to setting/apps. Slide to all apps. Go down to LG KEYBOARD select √ and clear data, and reboot ur phone, its done. If not solve once, try repeating again in same way. That's all.

I wracked my brain for about an hour or so trying to get the proper fix for my rooted LG Volt.

I followed each and every step listed.

Then it hit me: sideload it.

I downloaded the .apk file for Google Keyboard to my computer, then (with my phone hooked up through the usb with it connected as a media device), I opened both folders (the folder for the downloaded .apk file and the folder for my phone's internal storage) and cut and pasted the file from one folder to the other.

All I had to do after that was use the file manager on the phone to find the .apk file, open it to install it, change a couple of settings, and then boom! I am good to go.

the keyboard has stopped and i understand i can go to the setting but the problem is i have a password on my phone .. so i can't type my password i have turned it off and on countless times. I have reset it , taken out the battery and it's no hope please help me !

So I've had this LG tablet 10.1 LTE for about two weeks and it's great BUT the keyboard doesn't work properly when I tap something for it to pop up when I need to use it I'll start typing and maybe a word or two into my message it pops away sometimes it'll go away before I even type and other times its let me finish my message it's like it's playing peek a boo with me and I don't like it so how do I fix this

I am very unhappy right now with my LG phone. I have tried everything and I cannot get my kyboard to work. I've had it for about 4 months. I am very dis satisfiyed. I can't even get into the settings to fi this issue. I really need the ability to send out texts and type on my keyboard.

It's really simple just clear your Brower history from Google. And YouTube problem solved it works because I'm texting. Now.

I had the same problem with my LG Leon frm Metro PCS. Tried all of the listed remedies but NONE of them worked. The only thing that worked for me was (shockingly) changing the keyboard color from white to black. No...I'm not kidding. The only way I could type this response. Hope this helps someone else

My phone has been doing this for almost a week and I tried turning it off and on again and that didn't work I tried force stopping it that didn't work. I can't change the keyboard bc the only keyboard I have is the LG keyboard. I can't download another one bc I can't connect to the internet. I'm on a laptop now but I really want my phone to work again.

Go to app manager then LG keyboard force stop the app and clear data.

You just need to got to your settings, storage, then click apps. Clear the data for lg keyboard and force stop. It worked for me, it should work for you
