LG Keyboard has stopped

[AC Question]

My LG phone is displaying the message, "Unfortunately, LG Keyboard has stopped." I can not text or use anything which requires use of the keyboard. This phone is not even a month old yet. NOT HAPPY!!!!!

Im having problem with my keyboard at times, but this time I tried to go in my phone and now I cant put my password because the Keyboard wont pop out and its frustrating me alot . So I dont know how to go back in my phone .

My lg g3 is locked up because the keyboard I have a macafee security so evry time I boot it up it asks for a code and I put it in but I can't because no keyboard I tried factory resetting it and did nothing plz help

Well I just had the same problem (lg g3) and I tried to reboot, shut down, remove battery. Then I went to google play store and ticked the microphone and said keyboard, then I chose google keyboard and installed it and set it up. Now I could write, but the real problem wasn't solved. Then I came here and read most of solutions, and what really worked for me was:
1 went to settings,
2 went to applications
3 all applications
4 choose lg key board
Here I tought of updating it but it didn't seem to have any more updates (settings - abour this phone - updates - application updates)
5 Having no updates I just deleted all data. This was that solved the problem.

The advice here is to install the google key board as an alternative. I had no problems at restarting and turning the phone on since I configured the knock code, so I didn't had to input characters, so here is another advice: use different access methods like knock code, finger print, pattern if available instead of alphanumeric access codes.

If you can't install it then you could log in to your google account or play.google and search for google keyboard and select the option to install it remotely.

Fortunately I didn't have to reset to factory settings, so you should try all different options before doing a factory reset.

Maybe macafee has the option to unlock it remotely from a web interface. Or unlocking it trough a sms from a friend. Try get in contact with macafee for help. Hope this helps

Ok so I have two LG Optimus zone 3 both running lollipop 5.1 I was using one as a tester for root and so tools. Now I have managed to modify the recovery I assumed since I had multiple backups is be fine I am not. So to surmise this problem I have no bluetooth or keyboard I can't access any settings menu, I have lost root and am now stuck in activation with no way to get out. Is there a way to access bootloader and use only the SD card and other phone to get recovery of these functions? Or will a PC be required.

I jus found something that can help but it won't fix your lg key board ,,
1- go to your play store
2- go to top charts
3- scroll threw until you find a keyboard and install it and you can type and stuff again

I downloaded the emoji key board
You dont have to reset your phone or force stop anything,, nun of that.
HOPE THIS HELPED!!

Many of my apps were forced to stop, and disabled how I don't know. Hope u know what is caused this. Thanks DB .

LG Keyboard has stopped, and my phone is locked. I try to reset with volume batons and power and nothing. I cant enter to my phone...Model lg l70 d320n

For those who are still posting about their LG Keyboard not working, have you all read through this thread? If so, it would be helpful to know that you've actually tried the various suggestions. Otherwise, the main suggestion will be to read through the thread and try the various suggestions.

One thing I often suggest is to use a basic USB keyboard connected via OTG adapter (very inexpensive) to at least get you past the lockscreen. Then install another keyboard.

Mine is a Samsung galaxy core prime and i can't use my keyboard to open my phone,im locked out. I can't even get into the settings since im locked out. I'm so frustrated, I've restarted it, taken the battery out, turned it on airplane mode, everything but it wont give me my keyboard so I can unlock my phone.
