I have rooted my LG Optimus S and flashed the gRom 2.2. The phone works great, but I can't get the WiFi tether to work. I get 3 fail messages in the log: 'Configuring softap....' Failed,
'Starting softap....'Failed, and 'Activating WiFi interface....' Failed. I'm on the sprint network. If I try to turn on the Wifi hotspot from the settings menu, I get a message" Error code 67-unable to establish wireless data connection. Please select Update Profile......"
Any Ideas?
I later flashed Your Mom ROM and GingerKernel. My Wifi Tether now works fine. I don't know if it was the different ROM or the kernel.
