Hey just wanting to get everyone's opinion on which phone would be more ideal other than the fact that the nexus devices get updates before other devices

I gotta believe the two devices will have to be significantly different in some way or there would be no real reason to buy the OG over the LGN.

Subsidy. Camera performance might be better on the Optimus G because of the ability to include licensed software and algorithms.

Quick question. I haven't owned a skinned phone in awhile. So with custom ROMs. If cm 10 makes a ROM for the op G would it have qslide and all that stuff? Of just pure Aosp with that lame camera?

It'll have as much of CM's camera app as they can port over. For example, I have a One X. It has the ImageSense chip inside of it. There's a noticeable difference in picture quality between a Sense ROM with HTC's camera app and ImageSense utilization vs what you see on CM10. ImageSense isn't open source, so CM can't take advantage of it. Not sure if LG has anything comparable, but there's a very real possibility that camera performance will be very different between the Optimus G and Nexus.

I'd say its very easily the Nexus. It will be a flagship sold device for the next year, but the G will likely fade soon just like every other phone that is made atm.

The Nexus will have more mod support and especially down the road if and when Google sells it unlocked and off contract for $350 like they did with the Galaxy. People now are still considering the Galaxy the best phone out right now in comparison, and its a year old. It's an awesome phone with few drawbacks.

Easy choice imo.
