Taylor Wimberly suggests the US version of the Optimus G could be the Nexus. I think the larger blogs, this one included, must already know and be under NDA. Otherwise they would be commenting/speculating as well. Thoughts?

I don't think we haven't seen any English language software on the G yet, so it could be...

If its Nexus then wouldnt it first sell in the US(Google Play) rather than in Korea? I think its not Nexus but I could be wrong.

Its a powerful phone but Nexus really are not made available to carriers immediately at least looking at the history from all previous nexus releases.

Well the Korean version isn't a Nexus for sure, they've shown the software. With the G2X I believe the US version ran a stock Android build so there's even some precedent there.

And the issue with carrier availability in the US is one thing I'm hoping Google can finally get right this time.

It does seem Google would want to be part of the announcement. But...maybe they are and Phil is in on the conspiracy.

Coming to the US for AT&T as the Eclipse 4G LTE. (Most likely)

If Google wanted this device to be Nexus they would have pulled the device from production like the ASUS Eee Pad MeMO ME370T. The ME370T turned into the Nexus 7. I don't believe this device will be a Nexus. However won't because at least some kind Nexus smartphone came our but at same time I will be frustrated. I will be frustrated because it will show know indication for what is to be expected from Google with the Nexus line next year.
