after briefly "losing" it.

Long story short, I had an extra line on my AT&T account for another family member that likes the old phone they have and I was able to upgrade that account to the Optimus G Pro. I tried to access the shattered LG Optimus G E970 through the USB cord by the PC, but obviously I can't select anything on the screen like charge or the other options (I can't even get it past screen saver).

The guy at the place I bought the new phone put the old SIM and memory stick into the G Pro phone, but I'd like to save my contacts. Does anyone here know of a way to get my old contacts out of the partially functioning E970?

The E970 lights up, but again I can't do much with it with the cracked screen.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm guessing you didn't have your contacts set up with Google huh?

Nope, outside of buying a "parts phone" and swapping the electronics, I think I may be dead in the water. My E970 was only 6 months old, so I may just get the contacts out of my previous HTC phone instead.

PS: Thanks for the google suggestion. I saw that some of my more recently added contacts were also in my google account.

Awesome! Glad I could help a bit. Be sure to set the contacts to Google from here on out. It helps a ton! Good luck with getting a new phone!

I also use idrive lite (not idrive). Not only does it let you back up contacts to the cloud, you can restore from backups made on a different device, even iphone. You can also edit the contacts on a pc using a browsrr.
