With verizon disabling quick settings, Smart Bulletin on the stock launcher seems kinda useless. Anyone have a use for it?

Sorry, I think it's Smart Settings not quick settings.

It's where the phone can control settings on its on based on time, location, etc. Like simplified Tasker or Macrodroid.
Oh OK. Verizon disables them? I wonder why?

Smart Settings were already useless on the Smart Bulletin. You don't understand the favor Verizon did for us. All the Smart Bulletin would show is whether or not certain Smart Settings were active. It was pretty useless.

As usual, I'm recommending MacroDroid. Better than Smart Settings. I'm coming from the G3 and G4 where I routinely ignored Smart Settings in favor of MacroDroid. More control at your finger tips and it's pretty easy to use (unlike Tasker which I gave up on).

The point is that Smart Bulletin isn't useful in the current state, but it looks like eventually other apps will be available to download.

LG Smart World is available from the LG site. Has a few nice themes and wallpapers. No big loss that Verizon left it out. Less bloatware = 👍

There is nothing in smart world that will turn smart bulletin into something useful.

I only downloaded smart home to be able to change my fonts. I couldn't care less about the themes. They are ugly and cartoony. I've been using Nova Launcher for a long time and just can't stand stock launchers.

I've tried macro droid and had issues with it. I've found more of a use for ifttt than macrodroid.

The point is Smart Bulletin isn't useful in any state. It's a great idea, poorly implemented.

Not all the themes are cartoony. Most are, though, but some are actually decent and they even added more since launch. We have user made themes being created, though, so you'll eventually find something you like. I'm using one of the Racing themes. It's a near perfect red and white theme.

What problem did you have with MacroDroid, by the way?

The themes that also modify the menus (like the two that came with the phone) are nice, and look good with themes in Nova Launcher. I mix themes.

I use the LG G4 but changing themes doesn't change any menu items. It only changes icons on the LG Home Launcher. I think it also changes the lock screen shortcut icons as well.

That's how it's supposed to function on the G4. The full system themes we have now, I think, is a Nougat exclusive for LG phones. The G5 running Nougat can also use these themes.
