Android Central Question
Good morning, evening, or afternoon.
I'll spare you all the story of why I'm trying to revitalize this old phone, seeing as I switched to a new one in 2019- the moral of the story is, I don't know what I did to it.
Usually, I keep my old devices, and I keep them in rather good care, just in case I need a backup. I'm going through and checking them, and I figured said Stylo 2 was dead- no issue, I plug it in, see the 0%, go to sleep. When I wake up the next morning, it's unresponsive, not showing any battery percentage or lighting up in the least bit. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt the microUSB I used to charge it works. I think, that's weird, but leave it plugged in and go about my day. I sat down with it tonight, and still nothing.
Since then, I've tried to boot it, cleaned the contacts on the battery and phone with 91% Isopropyl, and tried to connect it to my laptop, all of which ended with nothing. The strange part is, when I plug it in with no battery inserted, it gives the battery icon with a [?] in it. I'm assuming this means the issue is in the battery, but... could that really be it?
Thanks in advance.
