LG V20 and Removable Batteries

Why wouldn't you just charge when you're not using your phone? Such as while work, while eating, while driving, while spending time doing things, etc.

See you're always attached to a wire one way or another. Portable battery pack and a wire sticking out your pocket. Or plugged into the wall charger while using your phone (bad to use your phone while charging anyway, overheats).
And? Where I live everything is spread out so it being tied to a wire while I drive .. zero issue for me.

Most drives I can gain 40 percent in no time so.. yeah for me no issue.

What if there is no outlet nearby? You gotta ask somebody if they have a charger or rely on charging stations like the ones they have at the airport. Happened to me many times. Went traveling and battery died. Had to ask store clerk to borrow a charger so I could get home...

Why would I have no charger nearby? I don't know how I'd get there without my vehicle so.. it would always be there.

You have a charger at work and in your car and at home and a portable charger just in case stuff gets crazy?

Just for the record .. I definitely get why some want it and for some people it is useful. I am saying for my needs I won't run into that issue. If I am going somewhere I know I don't have power I not only charge before hand but I also take a power brick. Otherwise my drive alone will get me more then enough juice for my phone. My one friend lives 30 mins from me so in that time I can get 40-50% battery charge. I am not going to use my phone enough to drain 50% worth (on top of what was there) at a buddies.

So for me in day to day .. a cord / non removable isn't a factor when choosing a phone. Especially with how fast they charge now a days.

You could send away devices to have that done and they would guarantee immersion proof results.

I love removable batteries, but the coffin-charger is what really makes the system work great. Never NEED to have the phone tethered to a charger.

Today I used my phone super heavily today. Ended up swapping twice. 2 things: no need to wait, no need to worry about wires. Wireless charging sucks, it's too slow, overheats your battery, and you still have to wait til it fully charges before you can use it.

You don't have to wait for a phone to fully charge to use it.

I'm right the with you. I have 2 charging kits so i never actually plug my phone in. If I'm leaving the house and the battery is at 40%, i just swap out out for a fresh one. It really does feel like having unlimited battery life. Another positive is that the usb c port will never wear out.

great point. constant charging wears out the USB port.

Today I used my phone pretty heavily as well (8+ GB on LTE), charged two times. Plugged in at desk and kept using it like I always would. Since I am at work wire or no wire doesn't really matter that much for me.

Different strokes ;).

Using phone while charging is bad for the battery. Stresses out the battery and will shorten your phone's lifespan, which is already cut short by a sealed battery anyway.

Unless you're using a low-quality knock-off charger, this is not even remotely true. Your battery will charge as expected whether or not you use the device. Think about it this way. With smartphones, chances are the only way there is no syncing of data is if the phone is off. So even when you aren't literally using your phone, your phone is using your phone and data is being synced. So go ahead and use that phone while it charges.

Doesn't bother me. I don't keep phones more then a few months so it isn't an issue.
