LG V30 Battery Life

Can someone tell us potential buyers how the battery life is? I currently have the V10 and the battery life is a piece of

First day with moderate use and I'm running 4% an hour with the screen at 70%. It will get better over the next three or four days but its good, seems about as same as my Note 8.

Yesterday first day. Setting it up and being indoors I was on wifi the whole day, auto brightness screen never went above 33% brightness. I listened to music and watched YouTube.

Today has been better, 4 hours screen on time with 64% battery left. But again I've been on wifi or in very good signal strength

I think the battery life has been than I was expecting. I've been off and on wifi today.

My battery life had been excellent. Currently sitting at 85% with 6.5 hours of up time and 1.5 hours SOT, off WiFi for about 2 hours of that. Mainly checking weather, fantasy football app, and watched a few YouTube HD videos. However, caveat being that I haven't logged into Facebook, Instagram, or any social media apps yet. Still, very pleased with battery life thus far, and doubt it would get that much worse with FB active.

I'm waiting on the YouTube vids of people draining the battery playing vids or recording. Been pretty accurate past few years.

Edit. Actually found one but for a pre production unit. Can anyone replicate this test? Because I game at least 6 hours throughout the day while working lol

It's been a long time since I've gotten 5+ hours of SOT...but my first day w/ the V30, setting it up and using it a ton, I easily eclipsed it. That said, obviously all my apps weren't on it and running all day so that will reduce the SOT a bit, but way better than the 3ish hours I get on my S8.

3 hrs on the S8? That's what I got at worst on my LG G4

sorry but what are you using your phone for to get 3 hours because I would get am easy 6 hours

3hrs of screen on time, yeah. As far as my use case...looking at social feeds, playing some basic non graphic intensive games, etc...the usual things someone does with their phones. The S8 just wasn't all that impressive. Just average IMO.

The V30 seems quite a bit better in that regards, given the same use case.

I also came from the V10 (thank goodness they had that free spare battery and charger promo). The V30 battery life has been fantastic. I don't think I've hit 50% on this thing yet.....but that's partly due to the wireless charging.

I charged up my v30 last night at 9. So far under moderate usage I'm at 75% . This is with the always known display on.

About to charge the phone. Pretty pleased with these stats. A full day of up time with 5 hours of screen time (brightness mainly at 40%) is great. I could easily hit 35 hours with 6+ SOT without dipping below 20%, and I don't ever foresee needing anything more than that. All of this after installing Instagram too. Still no FB though.

And to add, a good chunk of the time was spent off WiFi in poor signal areas. At least 5 hours yesterday.

A tie essentially between the N8 and the V30. Radio performance when moving around is a big real-life factor, but these tests are always fun. I don't game too much so I wonder how much gpu efficiency does not matter to me, etc.

Disappointed to see the number two power consumer on jdfry15's usage screen is "Phone Idle". This is a problem with LG phones. The unknown power drain behind this is 5x more than Samsung for the same time period. This battery sucker is on from the minute you power up your phone. LG does nothing about this. It's present on V10, V20 and G6. People complain about their battery life and have no idea. Since I don't see that on LGs screens, did they " solve" their problem by just not showing as usage anymore?
