LG V30 is there a way to get the ringtone to stop coming from the speaker with headphones plugged in

I have a LG V30 and have noticed that the ringtone still comes out of the speaker when I have headphones plugged in. It really is annoying while at the gym or any other public place when I'm trying to be quiet.

I never noticed this before, but you are correct about the ringtone going to both the headphones and the speaker.
I also get this sometimes (but not always???) with notification sounds as well.
At first I thought it was due to having the DAC enabled, but that is not it.

As a work around, I set the sound mode to "vibrate" when wearing headphones. This seems to work OK for me as I am usually watching/listening to something I don't want the notification sounds interrupting.
