I honestly think it's because the providers are in the dark. And I think it's because LG honestly doesn't know yet. They want to make sure they take care of Korea with the supply. So once they figure out that demand, they will announce when it will be available elsewhere. Typically the worldwide release is about a month after Korea. So probably late October, with presales by early October.I can't believe no release dates for outside of Korea have been announced yet... especially for AT&T here in the US where Verizon will have the Pixel 2 and AT&T won't.
Well if you make the same mistakes every single year, you're dumb. Tell me one phone release that Google has gotten right as far as supply goes? Every single blog post even mentions how their devices are rarely ever in stock and they even talk about on the podcast how Google always has supply issues. Either they're doing it on purpose, or they're incompetent. You can defend them all you want, but the fact of the matter is, they're terrible at launching phones.
I consider the Nexus phones Google launches, which a large majority of people do from what I've read. Same issues. We clearly aren't going to agree lol. I stand by my point. I expect the V30 to be easier to get a hold of because from what I've seen, launching phones is not something that Google is good at. Could I be wrong about that? Sure. It's my opinion though. This was the first time Google ever launched a phone. There's nothing to defend, it's a simple cut and dry reason that there were supply issues. Google had not yet developed the supply chain relationships needed to kick out more than double their sales expectations. When sales went through the roof, their existing contracts didn't cover that volume and so they were basically short ordering and producing product as components became available and assembly time became available. All assembly lines move no faster than their slowest section.
Not announced, but all the rumors point to Verizon exclusivity again. Ruddock over at Android Police basically said it'll be the same this years, and he has pretty good sources. How do you know that Verizon will have the Pixel 2 and AT&T won’t? Has that been announced?
ExactlyEven though Pixel 2 will be Verizon exclusive, it'll will be available via Google store like last year which works on all carriers so personally could care less if they sell on Verizon or other carriers as long as they sell via Google store.
Exactly
The phone works, just not that payment option. Last year TMO had a very attractive bill credit for bringing a Pixel to their Network. That doesn't work for people on JOD however.

If you are new to LG phones, this is the point you should brace yourself for a little disappointment. Prepare for it in advance. A few features will be left off the US version. Not the big ones, but something small that will bug you crazy. Like B&O not for US. And then the carriers will their features split even further. Those will be smaller details, but important to some. Like Verizon omitting the radio and In apps search shortcut on V20.
LG is just terrible at doing this. Not just for phones either, their other products as well.

It is ridiculous that release dates have not been announced yet for U.S., even unlocked ones should be a no brainer.
I'm a patient person but come on. The phone was announced almost a month ago and still nothing.
I think the V30 looks awesome but I've been limping along with my current. The Note 8 looks more and more appealing everyday.
